all right folks we've been promising that we'd bring you a updated video on filling out witness slips on the ilga.gov website so when we put out these calls to action uh and ask you to do a witness slip on a particular bill there are two ways of doing it one way is going to the website ilga.gov which is the process i'm going to show here the other way to do it is to click the link that would have been provided in the email that with the call to action when you click the link it actually takes you a little further into this process and takes you exactly to the page that you need to be at to fill out the slip now some things have changed since the last video that we did so we decided to do this updated version so first things first you're going to go to ilga.gov you can see it up here in the address bar and once you go there this is the page that you'll be greeted with the next thing you'll do is you're going to look for the bill that we're talking about and for this example we're going to take a look at senate bill 2940 you can see it right there you can type it in yourself or just call it up from autofill where i had it from you're gonna hit go it's gonna bring up the bill it's going to tell you the bill status now under that bill status it says there is a hearing energy in public utilities hearing it's going to be march 10th 9 a.m but it also tells you that it is on senate floor amendment 1 right there so the way to get to the witness slips or the the fastest way from here is to actually go up and click witness slips now when you do that you see senate bill 2940 is there these are the original slips on the original bill if you remember the hearing is going to be on senate amendment one so what we need to do is click senate amendment one and you can see there's some witness slips that have already been filed and then you'll see there is this hearing notice right here this hyperlink it shows where the hearing notice is at so you're going to click that and it will take you to the hearing page with regards to this bill and this amendment so it says notice of hearing you see senate bill 2940 david keller senate four amendment number one assignments so the next thing you're going to do is you're going to hit create witness slips so when you hit that you're going to go straight to the senate hearing details you're going to see senate bill 2940 sfa1 this is the one that we want fortunately it's the only one in the committee but if there were other bills you would...
