[Music] hi and welcome to this week's quantum alignment show i feel really happy to be here today uh considering it's definitely been uh a week of uh adventures in the tech department so i'm uh really looking forward to sharing with you the information that i want to share with you today because this is information i i don't share very often and it's something i've sat with for a while i used to teach this information when i did family coaching i used to actually have a a practice where i coached parents of children who were diagnosed with add who wanted to homeschool that was my that's my very teeny tiny very narrow niche today i want to explore not just 80d but really revisit the conversation around learning and learning styles so i'm going to start we have some slides i'm going to do something a little bit different today because there were so many possible slides i could have created because there's so many things in the chart that we want to talk about that i'm going to kind of bounce back and forth a little bit so i am going to ask you to take good notes uh if this is something that you really want to look at your chart in the context of it i'll try to go slowly so that you'll get a chance to kind of really identify where things are in your chart and i'll try to go back and forth or at least show you on a blank chart where some of the major factors that i'm going to be discussing are today so we're going to talk about how we learn and of course busting some of the myths of 80d and so i want to start first by introducing us to the three ways of learning and as i'm introducing this to you guys i want you to realize that a school system is a system and because it's a system and because it's a system that i believe this is my personal belief that is a system that's over taxed that has so many students in it and doesn't really quite have the funding necessary to effectively meet the needs of the students is a system that maybe in a lot of ways is devalued or not valued enough in our community and because it's a system and it has so many people that it has to move through things that are complex and entangled and maybe have more depth than we can give it in a system have been distilled down to very very simple basic understandings so some of you who maybe have been familiar with changes in the education system over the last 20 30 years maybe 40 years probably 20 30 years i have been familiar with the idea of teaching to learning styles right and part of that teaching to learning styles information comes from looking at the different way...
