my name is dave baker with new leader manufacturing product specialist for wisconsin and illinois we're going to be going over chain tension today one thing you need is a tape measure and you need to measure from the back of the unit the back of the sill inside to a measurement of 36 to 40 inches is what we're looking for that where that chain touches down into that sill so it's kind of hard to get your tape in there from time to time so what i do is i measure the outside of the box to the stake [Music] is 25 inches we come down the side 36 to 40 inches we can reach up in and make sure that chain is touching down in there you also have a site window on your edge and your g5 boxes now we want the top of that link riding in that site window we also want to check our tension of our conveyor on our second bin or our multiplier this is a manual adjustment you will need to measure from the back of the sill once again inside to where the chain is touching we want a measurement of 30 to 34 inches a measurement of 30 to 34 inches if your chain is not riding at proper temp tension you need to adjust on an edge series and a g5 at the monoblock this is your adjustment you're going to loosen your jam nut you're going to turn counterclockwise to lower tension and clockwise to increase tension note this needs to be done at 15 to 20 rpm running speed on the conveyor as far as lubrication cycles goes you will get an alarm on the iso control system for the edge and the g5 at 10 conveyor hours we always suggest to oil the chain once a day preferably when you're done for the day you have a lubrication schedule inside the iso control where you can pick how many revolutions you want to spray how many revolutions after that you want to run that's entirely up to you but we would like you to oil that chain once a day so our gear cases are on the back left hand side of the machine and that's what runs our conveyor this is a single pin gear case way identifying that is one motor on the gear case on a single pinion gear case you need to measure out one pint of 80 90 weight oil pull your drain drain plug from the bottom make sure you don't have any metal shavings in there or anything like that do not use your center plug as a fill gauge measure out one pint dump in the top ready to go this is a dual pinion gear case same thing you want to measure out your 80 90 weight oil it's going to take a pint and a half once again drain plug at the bottom remove...
