congressional delegation yes I led the delegation and what were you able to see so we were able to meet with all of the government's leaders the president the Prime Minister and the speaker were very gracious to make time for us in Baghdad we were up also in Taji I was able to visit my ship down site and see the clearing in the field where I landed my helicopter 15 years ago and then we went up to the Kurdish region and we met with the prime minister of ours ani up there and had a very good conversation and was able to see the changes and in the intervening 15 years because when I served in Iraq I flew all over the country so I could see the changes that had happened what kinds of changes did you see well the Kurdish area looks good I mean when I used to go to the kosher there's one fancy hotel on top of a hill and that was it and and and we landed on our hillside and what the helicopters and walk up through the one hotel now it's got a high-rise its gleaming it's modern there of course it's miserable this is reveal there is of course unfinished areas where after 2014 with Isis happening but it's very vibrant and I left them an International Airport on a regularly scheduled air Dubai flight I just like this is an international cosmopolitan city here very different and very different to be in the same country and see the difference between Erbil and Baghdad but then also to see the difference between Erbil now and Erbil 15 years ago I know it's always hard when you're on a government trip to judge what security feels like because the government sense of security is they want to keep you very secure but did you get any sense for for how how activity had changed whether there was a lot more commercial activity have how that felt I sense a lot more commercial activity in Baghdad but remember when I was there in 2004 it was the height of something really beef at the worst times there and so we were very much in a siege mentality with tea barriers everywhere we can you sing go out side of the green zone was massive there new you know now that we're there that this speaker has been cooling down all of the two barriers and so it's really nice to go to drive out what will happen inside the degrees almost now outside the Green Zone and see people driving around and the commercial activity a lot of college students a young people going to school and so it's kind of nice to see all of that and to see that the key barriers have gone down if you see flowers and all it's not a image of Baghdad that I had seen in the past and yet one of...
