[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] so [Music] [Music] hello and welcome to the second session of the 2020 reunion event presented by the inner and universal aquarium apocalypse chancellors i am your host ryan and today is going to be the second session we will be taking a short hiatus tomorrow and then thursday we will be doing the third session of the of the reunion 2020 event the only announcement in particular that i have for today is that if you have noticed we have discontinued our patreon and we are now moving towards a full use of the systems provided by the discord server the benefits of utilizing the uh the rewards and the levels of the rewards remain the same but it will just be utilized under a different platform and the reason for it is more of an efficiency thing than anything the chancellor prized itself on efficiency we've seen many times where efficiency gets people very far and i urge everyone to practice efficiency on a personal level and on a professional level businesses around the world should also practice efficient practices and i also urge governments to use efficient practices as well having efficiency contributes to the continued well-being of societies there are other things that we can do in order to benefit society one of the most important things that i have found through this crisis is that many religious organizations have been able to cope by utilizing services that are available to them it is then unfortunate that we are seeing many churches throughout the country have plans in place to discontinue these services once the epidemic is over and we are and they are able to fill their churches synagogues mosques and temples again i encourage religious organizations to continue to utilize technology and the reason for that is because we want to continue to be good citizens but you cannot be good citizens if people who are sick or ill or otherwise cannot make it to services end up going anyways at risk of themselves and of those around them because you because churches synagogues mosques and temples do not offer alternatives now i understand that budgetary constraints are always a concern and that there is no beating service in-house but we also want to encourage people who are sick to stay home and not get other people ill while it goes contrary to certain belief systems we have to look at the practicalities of things we cannot look at people's religious devotion as an avenue for them to not get sick people assume that they will be immune from sicknesses because of their beliefs and then they're proven wrong from time to time but we need to encourage a safer and more just world and we need to be good citizens as well so continuing these services is paramount and i encourage all churches synagogues mosques temples any house of worship to continue to do services online as an alternative to those services being done in house and they should also encourage their congregants to utilize these services when they are sick also we need to take some personal sacrifices i know that personal sacrifices have been made this year by a vast majority of the population people have reached a tipping point in many areas of life because of the amount of sacrifice and patience that was performed throughout the pandemic i have encouraged people to look at themselves find themselves spiritually and come out of this pandemic as a better person i really do hope that people take this to heart because becoming a good person is is absolutely essential for us to leave a good legacy being a good example to others is exactly what is was taught by the christ do not discount those things that you had learned just because things are opening back up does not give you permission to ignore everything that you learned to ignore everything that you have taught been taught but to look at yourself look into yourself take pride but not too much of it in the amount of progress that you have made and the amount of progress that we have made don't lose sight of the sacrifices that you made your small sacrifice may have saved the lives of people also we have seen a great display of leadership within many organizations throughout the world i encourage leaders of these organizations to continue to uplift to provide hope to those that listen to them to those that follow them because their words are going to be needed more than ever in a future that is uncertain their words are going to be more useful than ever because of this world that we are facing of the uncertainties that are being done reason that i talk about personal sacrifice the reason i talk about leadership is because these characteristics have always been important people too often in life have taken these things for granted they have taken for granted the ability to hug their neighbor to go out to eat to go to a movie to communicate with one another in congregational settings to go to sporting events or concerts remember that all of these things are not guaranteed to us we have made great strides within the scientific and cultural communities to ensure that safe practices are being done that technology has advanced enough so that we can do these things without fear well this year that fear has come back people are now afraid to do things that were once insignificant that they took for granted i hope that we never take these things for granted again and i hope that leaders never take their position and leadership for granted again because we have proven we have seen that within this wider world who the true leaders are and who the true leaders are not and remember that people also make the ultimate sacrifices live and they die and we need to ensure that we always remember those people but even if people get sick even if people go into quarantines or something similar to that because certainly these things will continue to happen but and but we should remember that they are making a sacrifice as well and when you are placed in the same position how are you going to react are you going to defy orders are you going to complain are you going to get angry or are you going to think about the whole of humanity we have lived and we have survived in a culture for too long where people have only thought about themselves while you are at the center of your universe as i had explained time and time again you are about a small piece of a bigger puzzle this pandemic does not care who you are what your race gender or cultural identity is where you live or who you work for these challenges will come to anybody just because you are claiming to be on this path to the light does not mean that you are immune from the ills of this world so take a different perspective and perspective is very important but perspective is how you can create for yourself your own personal heaven or your own personal hell when challenges arise when challenges come to face you how are you going to react to these challenges are you going to complain or are you going to accept this new reality make a sacrifice and even if it's only 14 days we have seen the effects that this kind of sacrifice can have on us as a nation as a world there is still a lot of death and destruction going on there are still a lot of problems that plague us just because they are not featured as prominently in the news anymore does not necessarily mean that these problems still do not exist or persist there are many other areas of the world in which this virus is still ravaging communities and cultures and this is where being a good citizen comes into play this is where being a thoughtful human comes into play this is where your mindfulness comes into play so when you are faced with challenges always watch out and make mindful decisions these mindful decisions may seem like an inconvenience to you but to somebody else it could mean the world do you want to have a good legacy do you want to be remembered for good things or do you want to be remembered for the bad things that you did i would assume that most people want to have a good a good legacy that people want to leave a good legacy but we can't assume that everyone knows what that means leaving a good legacy does not just mean doing good things it also means that sometimes you need to sacrifice so that you can prevent yourself from doing bad things even if it is inadvertent also being a good leader being a good leader does not just necessarily mean that you bask in the glory of being a leader of being an admired person of wielding power it also means that you have greater responsibilities you put yourself at greater risk and you have to do things that are uncomfortable you have to make decisions that are unpopular and you also and most importantly have to be willing to accept the blame when something does not go quite your way so remember those things just because you are healthy does not mean that the world is quite ready to take as much risk as you are willing to it doesn't mean that the world is ready to open the floodgates it doesn't mean that the problem went away because some new problem arose and took over the headlines we still have a great number of things that are wrong but there are still a great number of things that you can do and always remember that doing good and being good is not just doing those things that are admirable doing big things that that the entire world will see but it can be something as easy and as simple as making a sacrifice or doing some small random acts of kindness because even if you only help one person or save one person's life it will still be worth it to you in the end because that is your destiny that is what we're all called to do we're all called to be better we're all called to have presented by the inner and universal aquarium apocalypse chancellor as with many events that have been taking place over the last couple of months this event is taking place without a crowd in attendance the only people that are here are essential personnel and those who are also invited to speak this pattern is going to continue for many more months the assessments of these problems the solution to these problems are not easy the right decisions need to be made at the right time and involve the right people they need to live with the consequences of these decisions that are being made if these decisions are being made to rash or too soon then there will be more death and more sickness we need to put ourselves in their shoes it might be easy for you to criticize and to sit behind the keyboard and tell them how bad they are at doing this but you've never stepped into their shoes you don't know what it's like you don't know all the intricacies that go into making such decisions how then do people get off essentially and criticize without giving much thought to the situation in which these leaders find themselves in it is hard for us to put ourselves into the shoes of another human when we are thinking about when we are thinking about uh criticisms when we are thinking about what other leaders ought to do we shouldn't put our minds to that we should ask what we can do to support what we can do better what we can do in our parts not all of us are in that leadership position not all of us have to make these decisions and even if you do not agree with the decisions that are being made it is still worthy of thought on your end and it should ask you the question of what what can you do what can your role be what can your part be some people don't think about others many people only think about themselves many people only think about what they get out of it many people are only looking at the reward what what do you expect do you want to be rewarded for your efforts many leaders do things that they are not rewarded for their rewards go unanswered but you know why they continue to do this they're not out seeking fame and glory like some of our other leaders are they do it because they truly care because they truly want to make sure that all of the right things are in place to make sure that the population is safe so before you go out and criticize others especially other leaders for the decisions they have made ask yourself what you would do if you were placed in their shoes would you be so worried about what other people think would you be so worried about the kind of backlash you're going to get no because leaders who are true and people who are true to themselves don't care what other people think they don't care about the opinions of others they do what they do because they have to do it some of these decisions were not easy decisions to make but look into yourselves if you are out criticizing others what have you what what kinds of sins have you committed you committed the ultimate sin of having too much pride you have pride in yourself and many people who have lost their jobs they're not out there because they only care about themselves people are not out of the job because they willingly put themselves there but they had to face reality and it seems that within this day and age people are not facing those realities people don't want to face the reality of the situation that they are in people even people think that this whole thing was a hoax why don't you go tell that to the thousands of people who have died and the tens of thousands of people who are still sick we all desire to maintain connection within this era that we are in maintaining physical connections has been exceedingly difficult it is hard for us to maintain physical connection when we're socially distancing ourselves but it is important that you remain connected it is important that you learn new skills so that you're able to remain connected and this is why i've encouraged and continue to encourage faith leaders and community organizations to continue to host sessions online it's because it allows for those who are unable to go those who are sick to remain engaged within their communities we also want to encourage people to stay a home and away from others if they are sick if they are exhibiting symptoms of illnesses there are many ways in which the chancellor is working on building these communities of course with the app still being in development there are many other resources that we're looking into many other resources that we can hopefully utilize one of those resources has been our recent venture into discord which is a server primarily built for video game users but has seen use by podcasts and other community organizations alike the purpose of these tools ultimately is to connect people to one another and two leaders of that community to ask questions to be set up on private channels and to be involved in discussion and discourse we want people to be connected we want people to remain connected but people are used to having things done a certain way people are used to being able to go to in-person events religious and community leaders are used to having events that are live without the need for any other pieces of technology but we are now entering into a new era we are no longer in an era where people can just go in even if they are sick because now sickness has taken a whole new connotation sickness has become something more than just someone coughing they now pose a risk to other vulnerable communities we also live in a world where people are taking less personal uh less responsibility than ever people will go out and blame others for all of their issues people will go blame whatever governments in power for the issues that they are facing even something as trivial as not being able to get a haircut because people don't want to take personal responsibility but if you want to change the world if you want things to change look at yourself in the mirror first if you are the type of person that you don't want to hang out with then you need to change yourself changing yourself is easy to say but it is exceedingly difficult to do because people don't want to take the steps to do it because that requires them to have to take personal responsibility but i believe that all of us need to take some personal responsibility all of us need to play our part and play our role in ensuring that the entirety of humanity is not lost we also need to find being engaged in this kind of work of blessing what has this period of isolation presented you i've given you many tips and tricks into how you can make this a restorative period in a transformative time in your life but how are you taking this how have you transformed into a better person i can guarantee you that there are many people who have not transformed into better people they just went with the flow and got through to the end without learning a lesson there are many lessons that can be learned from what we have seen and experienced so far this year and even though everything is opening back up does not necessarily mean that it's all safe we still have to take steps to make sure that we are doing the right thing to make sure that things don't spike again because if we take steps too quickly then they inevitably will and if you go out there and blame somebody for not having all of the answers i explained yesterday that the answers will not come to us immediately especially for something new like what we're experiencing today and we have to take solace and confidence that these scientists who are working on research and developing a vaccine will eventually come to answers like this ultimately i hope that what you learned is that when we come out of this that all of us or most of us or even more of us can come out and walk this path to the light to be able to change their behavior and to be able to react in ways that people don't expect from from that people don't expect normally that is the hallmark of what the christ's taught is that we can approach these seemingly mundane things in the world a new way because when times of crisis like this come up we are able to stand out from the crowd we are able to be good and strong leaders and good examples to those around us isn't that ultimately what we want isn't ultimately what we want is to be remembered for the good things that we have done to be to to be admired from afar and even if we don't get our rewards we will know that our legacy is safe and secure ultimately that is what we want ultimately that is what we need ultimately that is what the world is looking for we want more people who have left good legacies we want people who have done more good we want people who will utilize their talents and experiences to ensure that all of humanity is benefited from the work that they had done that all of us when we find our place in our society can gleefully and gladly be able to say that we have contributed to the betterment of mankind to contribute to the continued and increased knowledge of mankind because ultimately that is what those who are truly enlightened want is to create for humanity a better way of looking at this world so don't be afraid of what's to come be confident that research has been done but also have confidence in yourself make those sacrifices that you need to make because even if you save one person's life and they never thank you for it at least you'll have the knowledge that what you did was beneficial to the betterment and advancement of humankind and if you've taken some time to do personal development make sure that you continue those ways make sure that you continue that peace and solace throughout the rest of your life because we have now seen that normal is something that we have taken for granted for far too long at this
