hello and welcome to beam works University in this training video we'll be looking at creating payments on the create tab of the payments module within theme works this training video applies to the ERP integrated workflow for payments for ERPs such as sage 100 Sage 300 QuickBooks desktop and other common ERPs they use the beam work sync tool or ERP s like Xero and QuickBooks Online that have real-time connection capabilities through api's if you're not sure which payment workflow you have please email our support team at support and be more calm and they will guide you as to which workflow applies to you and which training videos will be applicable for your workflow anytime you're working in the payments module it is recommended that you first sync your invoices to your ERP and your ERP data to beam works for desktop earpiece this happens through your beam works sync tool and for online UPS by pressing the sync button within beam works all unpaid vendor invoices appear in the create tab after you export them from the invoice module provided the vendors have been set up to receive payments in the settings area of beam works you can select just some of the invoices you want to turn into payments or select all of the invoices needing to be paid this is similar to how you select invoices to pay from an aged payables report in your ERP once you've picked the invoices you want to turn into payments press the create payments button multiple invoices selected for one vendor will turn into one payment on the in progress tab if they're selected together you'll get a confirmation of the total amount of payments you're creating pressing continue we'll turn those invoices into payments visible in the in progress tab remember this only creates the payments they still need to be submitted for approval proved and released before any money moves we have lessons on each of these steps ok this concludes our lesson on making payments in the create tab thank you for taking the time to watch this video if you have any questions please contact dean work support by emailing support at be more calm you [Music]
