thank you very much for joining this webinar this webinar where we will be looking at how to integrate a new team member because it's really important isn't it when somebody starts um a new job a new organization a new team we've got to look a little bit more than just the skills that they're bringing just the job title they've been given um to join the team so what we're going to be doing is spending the next 25 minutes or so is going through the reports and how you can use those to help that team member really fly as quickly as possible and then after that vicki and i will have a conversation about all of the chat that's been going on so that we can answer all of the questions that you have she says confidently okay so where do we start i think it's always really good idea to start with the job itself to actually start what are the expectations so when somebody starts sometimes they don't know why they've got the job let's all be honest um sometimes you've been notification what is it what what key elements was it that they saw in me that made me the person who was chosen so sit down and make sure that they really do understand what the expectations of the job is now i'm going to share my screen here because i think i'm going to go through a job report for you so you okay the job reports hopefully you'd have already used but that's another webinar okay that's how to use velvet for recruitment hopefully this can be really really useful it's looking at the job specification in terms of your melbourne behavior so not in terms of the other skills that you are bringing but also in terms of the behavior that you are expecting for the job now if you look at this second page it's called job expectations it's a really good idea to sit down with the new starter to explain how you expect them to behave in this particular role a song always springs to mind here and it's always about always a bit of a fun boy 3 fan showing my age but very much ain't what you do it's the way that you do it so we have here not necessarily the skill set that you have but the way in which you approach so here we have sales manager and you can see that it's been outlined that the type of sales manager you're really really looking for is a shaper coordinator resource investigator implementer so it's really saying that you're able to manage others cope with opposition to be quite tough perhaps be quite dominant this is the conversation you need to have for the person so that you know what type of sales manager you are expecting them to be the way in which you're expected to manage others this is...
