Integrate fillable checkbox

[Music] hi in this video we're going to show you a couple ways to add check boxes to your microsoft word documents uh the first way is going to be how to add a fillable checkbox where you could send someone the file and they could actually put check marks in the box and the second way is just going to be just how to add some check boxes that you know somebody could fill in you know after you printed it out so the first way we need to uh go to the options here and then you want to go to customize ribbon and then under the tabs here you'll find this developer checkbox so check that and click ok and that'll put a developer menu up here so i need to go to do is go to there and then you'll see you have this checkbox item so just put your cursor where you want click on there do it again and then you can just kind of add them as you need them and then you'll see you could click in them and it'll put a little x in there so that's one way to do it so let's uh back out of this here the second way is to use bullets so if we put our cursor here again so this way is going to be the non-checkable way so once you do it this way it's just for if you print it out so somebody could write it in with a pen or pencil so what you want to do is go to your bullets and do define new bullet pick symbol and then from this list you got to find the checkbox so the easiest way to do that is to find wingdings 2 there we go and then if you scroll up to the top here you'll see you have this box right here click okay and then okay and now you have that it'll make it it'll kind of tab it over though so you might have to you know move it back like that and then now the next time you go to use it you should have your recently used bullets here or under document bullets and then you could just add it accordingly but you can see you can't check you can't put a check mark in it's just for printing purposes so once again for the other way just go to your options in word customize ribbon make sure the developer box is check there and then you'll have a developer section where you can add the check mark just like that pretty simple all right thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe [Music]
