good morning everyone this is going to be another video about Telstar technologies on a Nortel m ICS CICS on how to initialize your phone system before we get started note to self you have to do this within the first 10 minutes of the phone system powering up okay so when you boot your phone system up and you connect the phone to you have 10 minutes to do this and if you don't get it within that 10 minutes you're gonna have to reboot the phone system you get it to work so what you're going to want to do once your phone system gets booted up you can go to any telephone I recommend doing it from a larger telephone the 7310 or better just makes programming a lot easier so what you're going to want to do you're going to have to have your administrator password which the default password is config which is 2 6 6 3 4 4 you're gonna have to have that if it's been changed you're gonna have to get with your system installer to get that password so let's get started so what we're going to do is we're gonna do what Nortel calls a startup so what you're going to do is you're going to push features star star spell out start it st AR tup it's going to ask for the system password which is config 2 6 6 3 4 4 ok it's going to ask you to reset memory yes or cancel I'm gonna hit yes you want the system to be square usually that is the case you usually want the phone system to be square so go ahead and hit this next button up here now where do I want to start my extensions at a default numbering plan for a Nortel is twenty one to twenty one twenty two twenty one that's just the way they number their stuff you can leave it the way that it is or you can change it right here to start at extension ten or started extension 100 or you know whatever your flavor is I'm just going to leave it alone for now and go ahead and hit the next button and it's gonna say apply in template this will take approximately five minutes to do based on how big the phone system is this is a little small CICS so it probably won't take very long but that's going to be the end of the video on how to initialize your Nortel CICS or EMM ICS again it has to be done within the first 10 minutes of the phone system booting up if this video has been helpful to you guys please like and subscribe it really helps us out of time allows us to keep making these videos for you guys and showing you how to do various different things on phone systems and take a look through our channel you know we've...
