Integrate initials authorization

hi this is andrew thanks for joining me today's video kind of picks up where we left off with active directory episode 5 where we have iis installed uh i changed things up a little bit to really meet the needs or to correct a problem that we had with our aws environment ultimately i couldn't join the iis server to the domain for technical reasons that aren't important right now so what i did is actually i have a domain controller 123 155 and i installed iis here so they're on the same system in the real world they would normally be separate in the real world that technical issue uh wouldn't exist anyway so it's not that big of a problem so if you take a look i have active directory installed here if i go back down to administrative tools i have iis here as well so now i can take a look and i have a site here and i have a url rewrite and if i go to my windows 10 computer on the right side here i can type in www.class.class.local because that is in my dns on my windows system and if i type dns just confirm under class.local i have www and if i wanted to i could actually i have andrew uh dot local there and i could go the that way as well my domain is class.local so i'll just show you both andrew.local and it redirects i haven't gone there from this browser yet so it's giving me a warning accepted risk there we go redirected and this is because it's a self-signed certificate so um what we're going to do with this next step in this lab is actually create windows authentication use active directory accounts to access this webpage so i kind of mentioned it earlier when we were installing iis that there were other options we would come up to and now we are going to use one of them so if i go back to server manager add roles and features role based just click through everything now when i go down here i see web server iis is already installed but only eight of 43 items so if i go down and i select web server it's 7 of 34 and under security one of the options is not checked off is windows authentication that's what we want to use right now so i'm going to check off the box for windows authentication and basically continue through everything else leave it normal and all it's going to do is add windows authentication to my iis environment so as soon as that finishes i'll be able to relaunch iis uh and we'll look at the windows authentication option okay so the installation completed now i'm going to go back to the start menu type iis and bring up the iis manager now what i'm actually going to is the default website this authentication option was...
