in this video i'm going to show you how i've migrated my landline telephone numbers over to my mobile phone it saves hundreds of dollars but it also opens up lots of other opportunities especially if you're a small business you can set up telephone numbers all around the country so let's say a client in auckland can call that number and it's a free call for them and you can pretty much talk as long as you like okay i'll show you how mine set up on my phone the sound quality wasn't very good when i was screen recording on the phone sorry about that but i don't have a better headset to use but you'll get the idea to be able to have your local landline number on your mobile phone the first thing you need is a sip account now what a sip account is is it's an internet an internet based voiceover ip account and you can have any number any phone number that you want with it so for example if my home number is ostx358607 i can go to my sip provider and say please transfer this number over to you so i can access it from my phone so the company i use is a new zealand company called twotalk.co.nz the reason i'm showing you their website too is they've also got a free trial thing you can do so before you move your number over you can actually just set up a free telephone number put it on your phone and see how it works so you just click on that try free but i'll just show you the plans they've got and i'll show you the one that i've got so the first one is free and they actually give you 15 nz national minutes so that means you can call anywhere in new zealand um for 15 minutes for free you could even just have it as a backup on your phone that when you totally run out of credit you could just use your sip account what it also gives you though is a telephone number these free ones start with 0.28 which means people can call you so your mom might call you on o28 it's going to cost her a mobile call and it will also come off your minutes and then you see the different plans is ten dollars a month twenty dollars a month thirty five dollars a month um gives you free to talk to two talk but it also gives you five different telephone numbers so an example is if you've got two staff members you could put one number um on the first staff members and another telephone number on the second staff members and they could call each other for free for as long as they like whenever they want that would save businesses a lot of money so that's the plan i use for my business and the other...
