are deaf you tell they will never hear but as we speak pray that god leads us to people who are willing to listen so mark chapter 10 talks about marriage and divorce but it is much much more deeper than just marriage and divorce so i titled this as saying why does god hate divorce you know this is a strong statement that said god hates divorce and then after that when somebody divorces the church tends to look down at these people they may be going through very very difficult times already of hurt pain and rejection and when we reject them on top of that it gets worse he says then he arose from there that is from the region of capernaum and came to the region of judea remember jesus is coming down towards jerusalem he would never be going up again this would be the last journey he would make before his crucifixion and multitudes gathered to him again as he was accustomed and he taught them again the word of god is saying and he taught them again the pharisees came and asked him is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife jesus is teaching but the pharisees are not willing to listen to what he's teaching they're more interested in putting a trap making him say something blasphemous and using that to say he's a blasphemer and he answered and said to them what did moses command you they said moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and dismissal you know sin had become so bad divorce had become so common in the old testament time that actually it was as easy as writing a statement and divorcing and walking away and why did this happen this became more and more common because people at that time started getting married to canaanite woman the person who had started in the larger scale was of course king solomon the wise who knew everything wise would never would apply to himself like many many of us today we may know very wise things but our problem is we never apply this to ourselves then i titled the next slide as marriage is serious in god's would take ten trips of course not you understand the fact so god didn't make that god made just one woman for adam and her name was eve let's now go on further and it says from the beginning of creation man made them male and female and then jesus is saying for this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife says a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife because that's how god had planned god had taken this man he was all alone and jesus and god feels that this man needed a perfect helper so it create eve and eve is made out of adam we'll go in a little more detail later and god says now for this reason a man shall leave because i have made a perfect partner for adam and he believe now adam is not having a father and mother but god is trying to make us understand that the relationship would be so deep that he will have to leave the influence of his father and mother it doesn't mean it should throw them out of the house what it means is you should move away from the influence of your father and mother and the two shall become one so then they are no longer two but one flesh is very important as we understand god is saying that you become one not just because of sexual intercourse it is much more than that because you start thinking like one you start bearing the pains and the suffering of each other you encourage each other you build each other you become one body but you know though it says that there is something far more meaningful in this relationship than just between a husband and wife therefore it says what god has joined together let no man separate you understand this marriage is serious marriage is serious because if god says that you and she will become one and if god says let nobody separate what god has brought together it means you should seriously look at the person you're marrying you should invest time you should spend time in prayer you should ask god to ensure that he leads you to the right partner in your life and not just because somebody looks good somebody looks smart somebody's got money somebody can pay dowry somebody comes from a good great family those are not the criteria that god is asking god is serious about the fact that when he created you he had a person in mind for you and it's important that you because it is serious stuff because god himself said what god has joined together so it's important what god has brought together let no man separate and if god has not brought it together it's chaotic now somebody said god has not brought it together can we separate you know if you go through the book of joshua there is a beautiful beautiful chapter which talks about how some people call the gibeonites would come into israel's camp god had told them we should destroy every person from every neighboring land the gibeonites were actually neighboring land in canaan but they disguised themselves they were old clothes they their slippers were torn the bread was molded and they came and told you shall we coming from a very very far off line will you protect us joshua does not inquire of the lord he doesn't ask god whether this was true he goes ahead looks at them believes that they are really really from a fire of land and they go ahead and have a covenant with them saying that will protect you two days later they came to know that they cheated you'll come close to god having said that we'll go a little deeper into the concept of divorce i want you to understand so it's a great blessing if you inquire of the lord if you've been praying for your marriage even now if you've been praying for your children's marriage even now as you commit them into god's hands and you pray that they will meet the right partners that god has created for them because when god brings them together you can bring them together without god's will things happen you go for money you go for wealth you know that he's not a believer you know that his lifestyle is not right but he just feels status symbol whatever it is you bring them together and it can be very very difficult so let's go and say therefore what god has joined together let no man the word of god says god hates divorce but i want you to understand one thing yes god hates divorce but he loves the divorcee he's totally totally in love with you he is broken-hearted as much as one of the partners is broken-hearted and so it is so important we understand and we have compassion on the person right let's go a little deeper into this there are many things god says that he detests like god hates divorce this is some proverbs 6 16. there are six things the lord hates seven that are detectable god telling the same thing potty ice that's pride a lying tongue hands that shed innocent blood a heart that divises wicked schemes meat that are quick to rush to evil a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stores stirs up conflict in the community all of them are as bad as divorce god hates all of them but do you treat them unkindly when you see somebody doing this do you tell them no no i don't think you can have a part in my worship in my church in my service into my family no i will not marry the daughter of a divorcee do you say that i will not marry the daughter of a man and know who who has stole a couple of lies who's got pride i want you to understand take it into contact divorce is bad god hates it but god hates sin god hates you he hurting somebody badly and god doesn't like any of these things including divorce but he loves the sinner and he loves the person who's broken and he loves the people who are hurting and he wants to bring them back and the reason god hates divorce is because of this it's in malachi chapter 2 verse 15 for i hate divorce says the lord the god of israel why because you divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty god says i hate divorce for what i hate divorce not only because it's a covenant relationship that you're breaking but because you when you divorce your wife you overwhelm her with cruelty with the word wifey i wanted to say husband or wife because the next line says thus the lord of heaven's armies says the lord of the heavens army so guard your heart do not be unfaithful to your wife so guard your heart jesus would say guard your heart even from wrong thoughts it's not just for the man he said for the man because men tend to be more unfaithful than women but it's for women also to make your deaths do not be unfaithful when you get married do you know whom you should love the most in the world after god it's your spouse because you have become one it's become part of your body when you start loving anything more than your spouse remember you're already living in a form of adultery if you love your clothes if you love your parties if you love your friends you know there are many men for whom their friends are so important even if the wife is going to a difficult time they say no i have to go out with my friends for some vibes the clothes are so important even if the husband is suffering he's going through a very difficult situation at home even then she's so upset because she wants to do a shopping or whatever it is i'm trying to make you understand so it says so guard your heart do not be unfaithful guard your heart because it will end up in divorce divorce because you're uncompatible because you're not guarded your heart you will become incompatible when you become selfish you become incompatible when you cannot think of anything beyond you a husband becomes incompatible because he wants everything done his way and he throws tantrums and he gets angry and he shouts a wife becomes incompatible because she feels everything should be done her way and you have a problem out there so guard your heart but you understand why is god says i hate divorce it is because he says to divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty and god is a god of love and god cannot see somebody hurting somebody so badly and he says i hate divorce it associated so much faith and so much bitterness there is so much of hatred and there's so much of unforgiveness that i hate divorce we also want you to understand like what i talked about the given out relation god also was not happy with divorce because he made a covenant before god so i pray this life that you will understand one of the reasons or the very important reason that god hates divorce is it's an act where there is no love at all and only selfishness it's an act where there is no love at all but only selfishness pray this night that you will understand that the way to build a marriage is to give up the self and to become christ-like if both of you are christ-like remember there is no marriage that be more successful if one of you are christ-like the marriage will survive when both of you take up arms it's difficult i know over and over and over people practicing the principle of the bible when one shows one slaps you on one cheek show the other one year two year three year and finally one of them will give they will understand they can't keep hurting and they will change i know there are exceptions i know there are people who are married to psychiatrists of people with psychiatric abnormalities people who lock up their wives because they are so so possessive of them and god understands that and god as a father can even understand these difficult moments and even though god is saying i hate divorce i understand that he understands those pains but marriage is a serious business because even after divorce you can divorce because of being unfaithful because infidelity you can marry you can end a marriage because of risk to your life physically abusive but unfortunately the bible doesn't encourage you to get married again because god says once you're married in the word of god you're married forever but god can understand there are great ministers who got married the second time and doing i understand that but remember it's nice not to get into that situation but let's go now to something that is far beyond this it is so amazing that tonight if you can grasp this truth you will suddenly walk in a freedom and a spiritual maturity that you never experienced before let's look at this this is from where this is from the book of genesis okay in genesis chapter 2 and the lord said it is not good that man should be alone god had paid man from the dust yet breathed this life into him with the breath of life which he knows the holy spirit and i'll give him a helper what are the what is the the property of the helper who is comparable to him how did god made matt god made man in his own image in the image of god god made him you understand that we wear the image of god suppose i decide to make somebody and i say i'm going to make something in the image for example i say i've got a house our friend comes at me sells you i want to build a house which is an image of your house what does it mean it is a replica of my house and what god is telling he made man which was almost like a replica of god himself let us make man in our own image in the image of god they made him and if this helper was going to be comparable to him then she would also be made in the image of god so out of the ground the lord formed every priest of the field every bird of the air and brought them to adam to see what he would call them and whatever adam called each living creature that was his name see the authority god had given man the authority had he could call this a deer he could say it'll eat vegetables he could say that you know it will roam around free and that brought the the property of that animal so adam had given such great authority and whatever adam called each living creature that was his name so adam gave names to all the cattle to the birds of the air to every beast of the field but for adam they was not found a helper comparable to him no animal in the world could give him company you know now i want you to understand that's why i don't like jokes about maharaja especially especially during your wedding why is it crazy out of man very unromantic statement if you say you don't see that the first time you meet a woman but scripturally it's an amazing statement he is now a part of being he was created out of me there was something that i lost when she was created which comes back when she comes to me and so when i am united with her not just in seconds it is not about sexual intercourse when she is with me i feel complete because that which was missing is come back you know it's like you say that you know you've got a big puzzle and one piece is missing and that peace is an important piece right in the center your puzzle looks so incomplete and it comes and sits over there and it's complete and it has become one and it says bone of my bones that means my bones is in her right my flesh is in her she shall be called woman beautiful i want you to understand this is something very important it is far beyond normal marriage god is going to teach us something through this which is astounding about the relationship that god has with us therefore a man shall leave his father and mother why because the wife is a part of him not his father and mother the father and mother are part of each other so that's why you will leave your father and mother because this the missing part of your puzzle that will make it complete is now available to you and you have to now let go of your father and mother she lets go because they are completing themselves they know don't need you to make them complete and so now you come together and you become complete and therefore a man shall leave the father and mother and be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh what does it mean to one flesh they shall become one complete unit technically you cannot separate it just like saying you got a tin of meat when you get some more meat and it's all minced and kept over there you just mix it up you cannot separate it because they have become one flesh it is as much as that as saying that they shall become one flesh and they were both naked and man and his wife and they were not ashamed because god had created them that way they had not understood anything about sin [Music] god had given them a mind that was so pure because it was the mind of god himself and he created them in the image of god he created them and because he created them in the image of god he also gave them free will like god and god decided that they can choose and that's the only reason he allowed the serpent to move freely in that garden so i've created you in my image i made you a wonderful helper and a partner together you have become one unit where you join together in doing things together and he says now that since your mind was so pure so holy so flawless that nakedness did not look abnormal at all you know how easy it is to understand that you put two naked babies side by side do they feel ashamed of each other do they feel embarrassed no because there is no sin in their mind it's very easy to understand that right they never feel embarrassed they have nothing to feel embarrassed because the mind is still so pure if adams and eve's mind was that of a child at that point of time with absolutely no sin they had no need to feel embarrassed at all but later on as the child grows up and the corruption and the sin of the world comes in they'll feel embarrassed of their nakedness from here we're going to move to ephesians chapter 5 25. i want you to read this closely right from genesis we are moving all the way forward you know genesis written about 1500 bc you know and now we have the shift he's trying to make us nobody has hated his own flesh it's exactly as to how the lord does to the church that pain the lord is saying the church is his own flesh just as the lord talked to the church for we are members of his body i want you to understand we are members of his body what do you mean members of his body we are the hands we are the feet we are the eyes we are the ears we are the intestines we are the muscle of his body can you understand we are the members of his body now listen to this verse 8 for his flesh and of his bones this is exactly the same word that adam would see when he saw eve born of my bone and flesh of my flesh and today paul is trying to make you understand do you understand when you're giving your life to jesus christ you become into the body of the church and when you become the body of the church you are his flesh and his bones and he is your flesh and your bones can you understand the kind of relationship that god has with us he says i am one with you like you are with me it is an amazing relationship for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh but he is not talking this anymore in the context of regular marriage but he's talking this in the context of believers coming into the kingdom of god so if you are given to your life to jesus christ he's saying i want you to understand [Music] for this reason i will become one flesh with you and you will leave your father and mother and you will leave everything in this world that you cherish till this day a girl will leave a father and mother a husband to leave his father and mother and jesus just did that he left his heavenly abode he left his father and mother he came down into the church to the earth that you and i could finally actually be ready to him when we give our life to jesus and we become one flesh you give up those friends you give up your habits you give up a life that was exciting for you maybe but today you give it up because suddenly you realize there was a huge vacuum in my life how did the vacuum come when sin entered my life now when sin entered my life something disappeared the presence of god's spirit was no longer within me and i couldn't couldn't feel it anymore and when the lord came back and he made me one flesh with him i become one and when you become one you understand you have the authority of god walking in you that's why i said what you're going to hear today is amazing this is a great mystery but i speak concerning christ christian it's a great mystery what's a great mystery how can mortal man be united to god and become one flesh and you are saying bone of baboon and flesh of our flesh and mortal man today has become immortal mortal man has become something amazingly powerful that the power of god should be flowing through you but we don't behave that way we are scared of sickness and disease we are scared of every problem in the world we are scared of trials and scared of temptation because we do not seem to understand today i'm not the same person again and flesh up my flesh and bone of my bone with god himself with jesus christ himself because he says it is a mystery for this is a mystery i speak concerning christ and the church so i want you to understand if you gave your life to jesus christ you are married to jesus christ if you are married to jesus christ you're one with jesus christ his flesh is that you and you and him you're completely become one with god nevertheless let each of you in particular so love his own wife as himself and let the wife see that she respects her husband okay comes back to marriage try to make but i'm just going to go forward in the spiritual journey galatians chapter 2 i have been crucified with christ what happens when you're crucified with christ you're dead it's no longer i who live now you understand what it means have become one flesh when you become one flesh with christ is no longer you you are dead you have died you have given yourself completely to this wonderful husband the bride groom of god and christ lives in me i am dead christ lives in me so finally what am i i have to have every property of jesus christ that's what the word of god says and you may say no i don't believe it this is too much for me yes it's too much for you because somewhere our darkened mind have not assimilated this truth that when you come to jesus your old self is dead it doesn't exist your fears don't exist your lack of faith doesn't exist your anxiety doesn't exist nothing exists because all that your spirit of unforgiveness doesn't exist nothing exists because all that is being crucified and the christ lives in me and the life which i now live in the flesh i live in faith in the son of god who loved me and gave himself for me can you understand this we say no i still find it hard to understand so let's go to this first ephesians chapter 2 and god raised us up with christ hey did you get that point how can you raise us up if you're alive paul is saying god raised you because you died when he gave your life to jesus you died and god raised you up but this time with christ and seated earth with him where not on earth in heavenly realms where are you seated can you tell i am seated with christ where is christ treated in heavenly realms in christ jesus can you understand where your position is today if you're married to god can you understand where your position is today if you're married to god if you're married to jesus christ you have become one flesh it is flesh of my flesh and born of my body and if you have become one flesh then you have been resurrected with christ your old man does cease to exist and where are you sitting you're not sitting on earth you're sitting in heavenly places and all your problems all the power of satan is under your feet you're seated about that and that's what i was saying this evening when ranjita was leading this prayer i was saying when she says it is not hope alone it is much more than hope we share about the authority that is there in our lives once we give our life to jesus we share about the privilege of becoming one with christ we share of the privilege of being seated in the heavenly places with god and so truthfully when i pray i don't beg before god but i exercise the same power jesus christ gave me through the power of god living in me so this night if you want to pray for terence paul's healing you say don't go and say lord please he'll tear upon you'd say lord by the authority that you have given me because you have made me one with you i command the sickness to move away in jesus name that's the authority god's given you you're seated in the heavenly places with god you don't have to say please please please please please no you don't need to say lord i have got authority to heal the blind i've got authority to do anything i got authority to move i can authority because i am the son of the most high god and it says for it is by grace you have been saved through faith now that's important you have faith to believe that if you don't have faith to believe that you always will feel that you're nobody when you get into a car you turn the ignition on you put your federal on the pedal it moves you'll be surprised it doesn't move because you've seen it happening all the time unfortunately since we have not seen it happening our churches are dead our preachers are dead our ministers are dead and inside that environment i do not see the amazing power of god flowing through the life of anyone just yesterday i was talking i keep talking about this young girl in mumbai whose name is priya patel and probably you should google and see she's got a uh you know she calls something called the beloved church listen to some of the messages and you know you'll be amazed to see the things that are happening in their church because they believe she did not read the bible before she never came to the lord through another believer he never came to the ball to a pastor she came to the lord reading the word of god alone and since she didn't have any preconceived motion notion she just believed god for whom god is and they see miracles all the time around them because she believes with certainty that she's seated in the heavenly places of god and tonight i'm gonna ask you will you do you believe that you're seated in the heavenly place of god are you still believe you're crawling on earth scared of satan scared of your problems scared of everything or you say no i believe that i am above all these things because it is flesh of my flesh born of my bones but jesus himself and i'm seated with jesus for we are god's handiwork created in christ jesus to do good works which god created us in advance god raised us up with christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in christ jesus so if i conclude why does god dislike divorce this god doesn't divorce us god it doesn't divorce us you can willfully walk out in god and he hates that happening because he loves us so much he died for us he emptied himself for us and today if you know this and you experience jesus and you still want to walk out he hates it because it breaks his heart so marriage is god making us understand the unity we have in god marriage is a place where god wants to speak to us and says he can never divorce us you can never divorces you do anything even when you live in sin he can't divorce us because he has made a covenant with you the day you gave your life to jesus we can walk out at him but he still will not divorce you and still wait for you to come back divorce in marriage is thus taken seriously by god so choose your partners with much prayer tonight i know that some of you are shocked and you say hey i can't believe this but this is the word of god it's an undiluted word of god jesus god when he created man he made eve he said bone of my bone flesh of my flesh and then later on paul tells the same thing he says bone of my bone flesh of her flesh is a mystery that i'm talk about the christ and the church because jesus says that he and we are united and we have become one then he goes on to say that our old self is crucified and dead it doesn't exist anymore then he goes on to say that he raised us up not only did he raise us up he lifted us up into heavenly place i you to understand you are a people of another's your citizens of another kingdom or kingdom of heaven so when you walk on this earth understand we are citizens of another kingdom we got authority and power of another kingdom satan has no authority in us unless and until you become so weak and scared that satan makes you feel that he's got authority but the truth is no he doesn't have authority because you're seated somewhere else and he's seated somewhere else you're seated in heavenly places can you believe that you have any business getting scared of sin when he says is born of a born pleasure for flesh with god himself with jesus christ himself do you think that you should be scared your life will be miserable jobless without a marriage or anything unless god's got a perfect purpose for that no he will not because he loves you so much because you are his sons you are his children you are the sons of the living god i want you to close your eyes at this moment and let's just pray that you will close your eyes and allow this truth to sink in this night i say father i want to thank you because i am eternal because you are eternal i am immortal because you are immortal i know this this body of flesh will one day just go away but i am already seated in the heavenly places of god i want you to start experimenting this if you're giving your life to jesus i want you to start commanding and saying god i pray for let this disease go let the rain stop ask god in authority for things that you feel is not from god and ask god to see the power of god flowing through you i pray that you may understand that we are extraordinary people living in the sinful world we cannot be touched by sin unless we want to forget and listen to the lie that satan tells us i pray that god will bless you will anoint you will remove every fear and anxiety of your life as you take the boldness to pray for people like i said you don't have to beg and pray but you say father thank you for the authority and power that flows through me and with that authority i claim i claim healing i came a blessing for my daughter and my son i came a blessing for my husband i pray that his smoking habitly broke in through the authority that you've given me whatever it is as god leads you start praying and you can testify and tell us how the power of god is working in your life god bless each one of you i pray that as you taste and see that the lord is good as you taste and see that god is not a liar that he should lie not a man god is not man that he should lie and experience the goodness the extraordinary goodness according to life
