hello again and welcome to Disney today we'll be showing you how to configure email notification for your touch series DVR email notification is a very handy feature which allows users to receive an instant email upon motion detection or other alarm bringing attention to the security system when it matters most to begin the setup go to the main menu of the DVR and select the network submenu then go to the email tab where you'll find all the settings related to email setup the first setting is use selecting off will disable all email notification alerts selecting default will send email notifications using a dependable digi merge email server and you won't need to fill in your outbound email server information alternatively you can select smtp and have another outgoing mail server used for sending emails if you select smtp then you will need to go to the SMTP tab to enter your email settings as you would in an email software such as Outlook we recommend using the default option the next setting is send frequency when a motion detection or alarm event occurs you can select how frequent you want the systems to send out email alerts immediately will send out an email every time there is an event trigger if you'd like to limit the number of emails sent you can program the system to wait for a one to five minute interval before sending another email the log is a summary of events which is sent via email on a daily or weekly basis retry count is the number of times the system attempts to resend the email notification in the event of a failed delivery you can set the retry count to none as there should not be a delivery failure if the SMTP outgoing server is reliable or set as default email source provides advanced settings that allow you to specify exactly which events camera will trigger an email alert click on the event edit icon to view the complete options by default everything is checked as enabled you can select which alarm in devices should trigger an email additionally you can choose the channels in which motion detection or video loss will result in an email notification under system you can check which DVR events such as HDD fail or voltage warning will result in an email notification once you have completed the email source configurations you can close this window select the log check box if you want the system to email a system log the attached picture setting if program to on will provide an image attachment to the email alert showing what was happening at each channel at the time of the event trigger finally under an email address you can enter up to five email addresses that will receive email notifications from the system that concludes our tutorial on email notification setup for more information please visit you
