I just want to welcome you all and so this is a kind of a very new thing very simple thing and hopefully it's useful at least it's useful internally for us as well as one of our first collaborators who actually came to us with this problem is a band from jgi and they run dual polarities on all their samples like tens of thousands and they have to share the results with collaborators and if you send them two sets of results versus one it's more to explain so even from just a convenience standpoint it's nice as well as from your own analysis hopefully your own analysis standpoint but the idea here is that you might acquire your data in both positive and negative polarity under the same chromatography conditions and there is going to be some overlap in terms of molecules that ionize them both obviously there's going to be a lot of unique to both that's the whole reason you're doing both the polarities but one of the things that we wanted to do was try to link the networks given that overlap so it's just a little you can look at one side escape thing enabling propagation between the two just because there are a symmetries in terms of how how big the spectral libraries are for positive versus negative data and so again this is just a very generic simple tool and happy to see if it's useful to you and where you all take it from here so I will let Allegra kick it all off just kind of give an overview of the pipeline what you need and then we'll go through a few examples throughout this and again definitely ask questions through the chat or speak up you you are able to unmute yourself you just are not able to share your screen and you know we want to make it interactive and want to keep it under an hour so hopefully it'll be short and sweet oh okay thanks Ming so yeah I'm Allegra and I'm also in the dorstein lab so yeah I'll get things started so first I'll share my screen just give me one minute um okay okay so can you guys see my screen now great um yeah so as main basically introduced today we're going to be talking about polarity merging for molecular networking I'm in Jam PS and as we mentioned or as he said um basically this is the tool that you could use if you've collected in both positive and negative mode so as Meng also mentioned it's a pretty new workflow um and so you guys might be some of the first users of it actually which is cool so yeah alright so let's get started so basically um all the documentation is available um so here are basically the links that you can look at after the workshop the documentation still sort of needs to be updated but we'll...
