hi everyone i'm cody w3amg with bridgecom systems and today we're going to be showing you how to program a shortcut button for talk group disconnect on your radio [Music] this is an awesome feature because if you have a lot of talk groups it's not always convenient to scroll back to the top group disconnect to switch to another one so with our ultra code plug this is actually included as part of it you simply press down this pf3 key up here and it allows you to easily disconnect but let's show you how it works so over here on the cps open up your your radio and i've already read from my radio but you'd want to read from your radio first now after that in the cps what you'll do is obviously you've got to make sure you have a talker disconnect both in your talk groups and the channel for it now if you if you don't it's pretty easy to make it just create a talk group and it's talk group 4000 but we're assuming we already have that so go into hotkey this section right here called hotkey and you'll want to create a hotkey this is what it should look like hotkey1 mode should be call and it's going to gray out then call type should be digital call object that pc 4000 and then this section i'll call just go ahead and click ok after that now what you'll do after that is go into optional settings and go to key function now you'll want to assign one of your keys to activate hotkey1 in this case we have pf3 which is that button on top you can make it a long presser short press doesn't really matter so there we go click ok and at that point we are set so now after that just go ahead and write this back to your radio once it's done you can try it out so let's take a look i'm on the parrot right now if i key this up testing one two three w3 amg i'm talking on the parrot we'll see it come back there as the parent there we go now let's say i wanted to switch to a different talk group i was talking on something want to switch to something else all i have to do is press this button and then key up my radio so we'll press that there we go now key it up that's automatically switching this over to talk through 4000. there you have it perfect so it came back not linked now i can go somewhere else let's say i want to talk on you know different talk group we'll just key up the parrot again there we go back on the parrot again so it's really that simple thank you all very much for watching i hope you learned something from today's video if you did be sure to hit...
