everybody welcome to the austin user group session with bill feder with unfettered marketing bill's a long time pardot user i remember him from the b2b community for many many years um just has a wealth of experience to to share with us and i'm really happy he's here to talk to us about the cool handlebar merge language tricks if you saw his session at par dreamin in december some of this is familiar but also definitely feel free to ask questions in chat and we'll have some time for questions at the end i think um and if you have questions that are not hml tricks um bill's also really really knowledgeable so um we can probably get him to answer those too i i think we should probably have a dueling uh a dueling part on knowledge session laura you are you're you're one of the one of the foremost experts yourself so all right um but yeah so bill go ahead and i will put myself on me okay well thanks thanks everyone for coming i see people still arriving um the the thing about par dreamin was that the sessions were very very short so um i have taken advantage of the fact that this is a bit longer i've expanded some things and um full disclosure i was still working on these slides as a 10 minutes ago so um there may be a there may be a hiccup or two as we go along but um please feel free to uh put uh questions in the chat um as you wish and uh i will attempt to notice them as we go along and address them as we as we go um and uh i heard this meeting was uh this austin user group was boiob um which i thought was um bring your own barbecue uh so i i i thought i'd just uh put a pan of that that's that was tuesday night i have a friend who does uh who does this uh who does this um well not professionally but uh he's got a he's got a big following and um he's uh it's finally gotten warm enough here to get the smoker out from under the snow drift so he's uh he's started the season and it's it's awesome all right let's talk about what the session outline is um what's handlebar merge why use it how to enable it the basic fields and the patterns and then five cool tricks and riffs um and a lot of variations on those tricks and riffs uh including some new ones that we didn't talk about in par dreaming um and i keep finding new stuff so uh this is gonna be this is gonna be fun okay so what is handlebar merge it replaces the percent sign merge field format in pardot it must be enabled in your part out account if it's older and it's not already been...
