hey good afternoon we are gonna do a transitions video today we're actually going to do just a field trial of transitions signature 7 vs. generation 8 this is not scientific it's just to kind of see what's going on with these things it is about 1 o'clock and outside of Waco Texas it is hot outside and the sun is shining brightly we have our little test setup here I have a signature seven blank that is an Amber and a generation 8 blank that is in gray so the amber will never get quite as dark as the gray but we're still gonna see how quickly they change and then try to see if we can test them for how quickly they change back props to my daughter for being the camera person today I will give a few details about the history of transitions as we fade back but the first part is going to be just to see how quickly these fade and I did a test run and they they dark and pretty doggone quickly and then we'll bring them back inside after 5 minutes and then we'll see kind of how long it takes them to fade back or how quickly they fade back while I give some more details on the history of the generations going back to generation 5 again props to my friend and counterpart Jason Lasserre who's with vision valet and optical management resources in South Texas this is JR Dillon's I am with vision valet and optical management resources in North Texas hope you enjoy the video all right again on to phase 2 of our non-scientific field trial okay I'm gonna open the door I'm going to back up I'm going to pull off this opaque folder I'm going to hit the start button and we will be off to the races it's now sunshine so no immediate clouds and here we go bright sunshine now it's hard for me to even see that where's the start button right there yeah same time 3 2 1 start yep 3 seconds 4 seconds 5 seconds 6 7 8 9 by 10 seconds well we're already pretty dark but you can't see the difference in how much darker the 8 is versus the 7 and here we are at 18 19 20 seconds very dark 26 27 28 29 30 seconds alright we're gonna go on a little bit of a hiatus and we'll check back here in a couple of minutes alright we're now just slightly over two minutes you can see they're both fully activated it says they don't quite get to full activation for five minutes but I don't know how they're gonna get much darker than this well let them sit for a little while longer and check back here in five minutes and then we'll tell the history of transitions and some other things some other technical details during the fade back time all right...
