[Music] the cases option on the left hand menu panel allows access to view all cases within the solution cases are used to identify interactions with the ability to merge cases and interactions together the system will automatically allocate a case number and ticket number to incoming interactions by default the maximum number of days the system searches back is three days when looking for an open case that can be reused if multiple cases are found the last modified one will be reused the system will automatically resolve cases waiting for customer input after 14 days and automatically close resolve cases after seven days you can select only show my items to view only the cases that you have handled you can use the filters to narrow your search or pending in progress waiting for customer follow-up required resolved and closed use the search field to enter in contact names numbers or other information for basic searches click on the drop down arrow to access advanced search features where you can search by multiple parameters other cases for this customer are visible during the email response ensure you are in the inbox and clicked on the interaction then select the other cases tab other cases for this customer is also visible against the case select cases from the left-hand menu panel search for and select the desired case to review select the tab other cases for this customer you can use the filters to narrow your search or pending in progress waiting for customer follow-up required resolved or closed you can use the checkbox to show only your items use the search field to enter in contact names numbers or other information for basic searches click on the drop down arrow to access advanced search features you can use the relevant icons to merge cases together you can select go to on a specific case to view its details you can export the details of the case into a csv file [Music] cases can be manually merged together if they are relating to the same thing you can merge cases of different interactions cases can only be merged if they are both still open if a case has been closed you cannot merge it with another access cases from the left hand menu panel search for and select the appropriate child case select other cases for this customer search for or identify the case to merge it with select the blue merge icon click ok to confirm the cases will be merged the child case will be deleted all notes interactions and details will be merged into the parent case searching the child case number will still bring up the parent case [Music] information
