[Music] hello my name is Reggie Wallace and I'm with the Bentley technical support team have you ever wondered how to merge custom lifestyle resource files together in this video we will see how to see the available line styles on a resource file and then how to copy them from one location to another first we will learn how to manage the line style definitions to a dialogue and then we'll learn how to copy the line styles for one resource file to another and thus merge line styles between resource files now to do this we need to go to the attributes section in our ribbon and go to line style from here we want to click on manage if I'm the line style editor dialog we go to the file pulldown menu and then click on manage and then we select our custom line style resource file now when we open this file we see the line Styles that are available in this line style resource file now to copy other line styles from another resource file we have to go to the file pulldown menu and select open source file we then select the resource file that we want to copy our line styles from and from this dialog you can see on the left the source file that has the line styles that we want to copy and then on the right side we see our existing line style resource file now just simply click on the line style and then click on the copy button and you will see the line style move from the left to the right we can also double click on the line style and this will also add the line style to our desired line style resource file now to verify that we have those line styles in our resource file we simply go back to our line style editor long click on manage and now open a custom wine style resource file and now we can see those new line styles have been added thank you for watching and have a good day
