one way you can know whether or not God is telling you to move on is if just not doing anything would would cause you to stay still I believe that Christian dating and relationships should be seen as something that causes movement in your life you should be dating towards marriage or towards breaking up so that you can continue to move forward if you're just staying still and dating to date that's not where God wants you to live he doesn't want you to live in a dating relationship he wants you to maybe be single or maybe get married but this ambiguous dating relationship is not what God wants for you long term so you can often know what's the right decision in your life by looking at the fruit of that decision if just staying still would result in you not growing not moving forward into other areas that God would want you to move forward in well then it's probably time to let go of that relationship so you can move forward
