you can rearrange your onenote display so that you have pages and sections and notebooks available in a panel on the left otherwise you may see your pages off to the right your sections across the top and your notebooks may not be visible right away so the first thing i'm going to recommend is when you're using onenote click on the name of your existing notebook so in my case it's the onenote webinar notebook i'm going to click on that and then notice i have this thumbtack that i can use to pin my notebook panel to the side so i choose that and now here's my notebook and any other notebooks that i happen to add will also appear here and as i'm working and taking notes here and maybe adding additional pages all of my notebooks are pinned there so i don't click on the name again and notice this also brings in my sections so if i don't like navigating my sections and section groups across the top i can just use my left hand panel here to get into the same sections and section groups and expand and collapse as i need to now another thing you might want to do is move the page panel from the far right hand side to be on the left so that it reads better going left to right from largest to smallest notebook to section to pages so to do that what i'm going to do is go up to file choose options choose display and then i'm going to choose to have my page tabs appear on the left so check that box page tabs appear on the left and okay and now i've got my notebooks i've got sections inside those notebooks section groups in those notebooks and my pages all focused on the left hand side of my screen and all of my content and note taking taking place on the right hand side of my screen now especially if you're working on a smaller screen you may wish to undo a little bit of what we just did to have a more full screen view to be able to focus on your notes right but you don't have to unpin the notebooks like i just did and you don't have to do anything to hide the page panels instead what i would suggest is just making your notes full screen so on the right hand side in the upper right hand corner of the page that you're taking notes on currently notice there's a double arrow icon and if you click on that you're taking notes in full screen so you're getting a more focused experience in onenote and when you're finished all you do is just click that same icon again and you're back to your notebook panel and your page panel
