hey guys this video is a review on the platform clear voice which is for freelance writers as well as for different types of freelancers but i think mainly it's freelance writers using it there's just a few like graphic designers and like other types um as well like video freelancers and so on but it's mainly for freelance writers and i've been on there since 2017 and it's been great like i'm glad i'm on there it's not like it can be your full-time job full-time career um but it's like it if you're a freelance writer you really do want to be on there like i do recommend um being on clearvoice so you anyone can be on there as in when i say on there i mean like you set up a profile sort of like a you know social media account but it's like it's more like a linkedin so you get to put your profile um i mean you get to put your portfolio pieces and you can categorize them into like different niches or different types of uh portfolio pieces and then you can put like your social media links you can link all those up even like quora youtube like different social media not just facebook and twitter but they've got several you can link you can link to your linkedin account so that is you know as far as networking that is really good because um clear voice is basically a platform that connects the client to the writer and it uses ai an ai algorithm to do that so this ai algorithm what clients do is they search um they put in a job like you know like they would on any platform like upwork or something like that they put in a job okay i need this accomplished and then they are matched through this ai algorithm they are matched with the best writer for the job and the algorithm looks at your portfolio pieces so it scans through the samples and looks for those keywords and those you know category how you've categorized your portfolio piece and what tags it's tagged with and so on so then it will you know match the writer sort of like it you know the pr the process sort of goes like what experience do you have that's similar to this job well the ai is kind of stepping in and doing that for you like that it's doing that matching sort of um to help pair a client with a good things is that your profile or your portfolio is public you get an actual link with your name like clearvoice.com cv your name i think that's what it is and then anyone can see that link you can put it on your linkedin and pin it to your linkedin profile you can put it as the link in your twitter bio and it can serve as a professional portfolio you anyone can come through and look at those pieces of content they just click on them and it goes to wherever the website links or it can pull up a pdf or an image so it's pretty versatile how you can add your portfolio and i i really like how easy it is to like at add portfolio pieces tag them and categorize them so that it's laid out in different sections and they can scroll through i sort of like to categorize it by niche and um that's the thing on clearvoice you do want to show that you have at least two niches because then more jobs will come your way but you still want to show to them like you have some sort of niche or direction and that's gonna still help you you know to get match it to get matched up with jobs but yeah you can have multiple niches but anyway another good thing is that they pay out as soon as it's approved by the client and so you connect your paypal and then when the client says okay that's what i wanted and they're ready to take it and no no revisions nothing like that then you it just goes to your paypal like an instant transfer so that's good um but then then again you know it could be anywhere up to like 30 days that it's actually approved so it could mean you're getting your money sooner it could be like later um but generally it's it's it pretty much helps you know instead of being a monthly payout or something like that like it pretty much um you're getting your money faster so that's a good thing about it um the other thing is that clearvoice as a company they're pretty transparent and it's easy to get a hold of someone like if you want to talk to someone from the platform about whether it's a tech issue you're having or just a question or actually i literally ask them for you know can you send any assignments my way um i've done that multiple times and every time they've sent me you know more work and so i really recommend reaching out to them like once you get on the platform the last pro that i'm going to mention of clear voice is that it pays pretty well like the clients that they work with that they you know pair you with are like actual companies that you've heard of most of the time and if not like it's still professional a professional company or a professional you know some sort of agency that's that you're going to be working with and it's not going to be like someone on craigslist posting a job sort of a thing so you you know i appreciate that about it how they pretty much well they'll only send good clients to you you know and you're not gonna ever get like scammed or anything so over to the cons then they do take 25 um of everything that you make so but then again it's still they they're bringing on good clients so it's really it's really really worth it the other downside is that you can't really get your byline into i mean i haven't had my byline out of all those years since 2017 i never have had my byline put into anything that i've written on there and i've written like month after month but um you can't guarantee you know you can't guarantee that you're going to get work every month or every week or every other month or anything like it comes and goes and it definitely dipped for for a few months with coven 19 as far as uh the inflow of like clients and assignments that clearvoice was having make sure that you uh fill out your bio in a way that specifies um with keywords like all the different writing things you can do don't limit it like write that you do um blog posts social media posts anything like mention all these keywords and that can help you get found for different things and then there's also a lot of articles on the clear voice website that tell you more about how you can succeed on there one month you might get a lot of work and then don't expect that the next month that means you're going to get a lot of work i'll just say that um but it's really worth the time that it takes to get started on there to you know fill out your profile and all that i would really recommend it and then
