hi everyone Eric Martin here with Martin lawyers to show you just how easy it is to notarize a document online so I've set myself up as both the signatory and a notary so I've gotten an email here that says start the notary transaction so there's two steps first the signatory will fill out some information to verify their ID and then we'll get online with the notary and execute the document and notarize it together simple as that I'm gonna kind of run through it real quick and we've got a couple of tutorial videos for how to verify your ID which makes the process go much smoother so this is the first part of the ID verification you're gonna read all the terms and agree to this and then there is the capture upload license and face I'm using the text verified so I'll put my mobile number in here it's gonna send me some text so I'm gonna take a picture of my license front and back and then of my face as close as possible and text those back to the software and then I'll be verified okay I did the pictures of my driver's license and face just using my smartphone and the instructions that were sent to me it took about two minutes total very self-explanatory now to put in my legal information social security and birthday I'll do that real quick okay I put it all my vital information now we're just going to click start verification and it's gonna bring up essentially a quiz to determine that I am who I say I am it's going to be about five questions that just kind of ask you like stuff only you know like the county grew up and your mother's maiden name that kind of deal and you get two minutes to finish it but it's no problem it's everything that you will know so I'm gonna answer these real quick all right I answer those questions it took me about 25 seconds and my verification is complete I'm ready to move on to the notary part sorry there's one more part where you can enter your signature here you want you can do the signature pad I like to just let it Auto generate my signature and now I am ready to move on to the notary okay now we're ready to move on and since I can't be in two places at once I've gotten my lovely wife Kimberly to sit in for me as the participant and here we would just go to the next step begin our recording I would state my name into the camera clearly we would go to the next step where we'd review the document I would drop the signature in right here for the participant to sign the signatory would click that would go to the next page this is where I'd notarize it I would drop my notary stamp down here my notaries signature and we would be done that's it that's as that's as much as it takes it's as simple as that as soon as I click notarizing sign the signer will get a fully executed notarized copy of their document Kimberly I appreciate you standing in for me as Eric number two you did a great job thank you very much and for a client testimony on just how easy this was we're going to show you a client who's will and testament and health care directives we notarized last Friday take it away Becky and Jim um how was your experience with the online execution process overall sort of scary is when you start anything new but we were so motivated to get this done during a pandemic situation where we couldn't meet face-to-face you guys walked us through it so fantastically I just felt very cutting edge so was it easier than you expected more difficult than you expected you had it worked out where we understood everything you were asking us to do and ended up being really easy and that was it simple as that I hope you found this video helpful like I said we've got some tutorials to make it even easier so if you have anything that needs to be notarized please today and will help walk you through it thanks very much
