hey guys this is bill with notary coach comm and one of the things I'm going to talk about today is the training as you're teaching yourself phase 3 which is all the document training are the yeah the document training process is etiquette all that good stuff with a focus on the documents you know now that we have the sign and drive course the beta version at least up and going I'm getting lots of questions about how best to study the documents and learn them especially because there's so many that have signature lines or initial lines that can be sometimes hard easy to miss so one of the most common questions that I get asked is whether or not people should use either highlighter or those little sign here stickers or post-it notes that mark off all the different areas that on the documents that work where you have to sign date and initial so I guess there's really no blanket answer as you'll find across this industry there's no umbrella answer for everything but because everybody kind of learns on their own but I don't typically recommend that you use those crutches if you will on where to sign date and initial because what that does is it trains your brain to look for sticky notes instead of signature lines or empty spaces and what that has led to in the past as I've no coach several people over the course of the last year on learning these documents there's a lot of errors from the people who do use the sticky notes versus those who do not not to mention it's so time-consuming to go through an entire loan package and mark all of those different signature lines remember we're talking about low packages that could be anywhere from a hundred to two hundred and fifty pages long so I recommend that we train your brain instead and to look for blank lines empty spaces stuff that needs to be filled in and I know at the beginning it's very intimidating and it seems like you're never going to get it but trust me it becomes almost second nature where you can scan a document with your eyes and very quickly see what action needs to be taken on there so that's my recommendation for today I hope you're having a great weekend this is bill with notary coach comm
