hello everyone my name is nivindia sullivan with ns mobile notary notary public for the state of north carolina and welcome to my channel today i want to show you how to notarize a car title we're going to focus on section a um because that's what you're gonna have to do most of the time unless the car has a lien on it they want this section to be notarized but then we're gonna focus on section a first you're gonna get a call from either the buyer or the seller to let you know that they are selling a car a trailer they need you to notarize the title for them so they're going to come see you most likely this form will be blank so i usually send them back to the car and have them put the odometer reading and check check those boxes right here and once they get back to me i will take the seller's driver's license then i would flip the title and i would verify the seller's information that he is this he is the seller and this title belongs to him then i would put that in my journal i will fill out my journal once i'm done filling out my journal i have the seller sign my journal i will come back to the title i will take the buyers um driver's license and i will always ask the buyer is is that your current address on your driver's license before i fill it out because this address you're gonna put for the buyer that's the address the dmv is going to use to send him back the new title so you always want to make sure you're putting the correct address for the buyer and again this should have done this already but like i said it's always blank and you have to guide people on how to fill it out so i just i just do it and um you know and and i send them on their way so like i said i usually take the buyer's exit buyer if his information is right i will fill out the buyer's name buyers address and i would come over here i would put the date county in state and then i would put the seller's full name just like it is on the title on this line and then i would put my commission number i would print my name but i would not sign it yet then i would give the seller the title and have the seller print and sign his name then i would have the buyer print and sign then i would i will sign it last i will sign and sell it and usually i hand it back to the buyer because now the title belongs to the buyer and the seller is responsible to pay the notary fee which is five dollars okay i hope this video was helpful and thanks for watching
