hello guys welcome back to my channel i want to show you something that is quite um common and it's very popular with many companies and industries uh today i'll be showing you how to populate a second drop-down list based off of the selection of the first drop-down list you have so many examples of these kind of scenarios for example the example i'm going to give today is going to be a phone so you have many phone brands like samsung you have iphones you have technos motorola and all of that etc so if you select one of the brands let's say select iphones brand and then the second drop down is going to be the type of iphone so the category of iphones uh if you select samsung it's going to second drop down will show you samsung phones you know the model samsung models you know so that's what i want to show you it's very common that it's to be used in many companies the second thing i'm going to show you here is i want to do this using ajax jquery so your page will not refresh so when you select the first drop down list it will not refresh your page if you want to see how this is happening look at you're going to look at this refresh refresh button right here when you select it shouldn't refresh the page it should just dynamically automatically populate the second drop down list which will show the list of phones that is selected for the particular phone of phone brand iphone samsung motorola techno all of that kind of things so let me just give you a demo what is happening here so i'm just going to refresh this page for the first time let's pretend that this is the let's pretend that it's loading for the first time and then you're going to see okay so it loads for the first time all i have here is mobile brand which is going to be the list of phone phones phone brands iphone samsung and all of that so you can see it populates it all right you have iphone samsung techno and motorola now i want to select one of these brands here and it should show me the list of phones that is related to that brand so i'll select samsung you see how this phone appears like phone phone mobile phones appears second drop down list appears and it populates only samsung brands see samsung brands same thing is going to happen watch how this doesn't refresh this doesn't refresh your page doesn't refresh because i'm using ajax here i'm going to teach you that as well so let's go again and select let's say i select techno you see that it changes to all techno phones now it's spark 7 common 17 common 17 primer phantom x all these are techno phones and same thing if i change to...
