hello this is maricar today I'm going to show you on how to sign a PDF document using your digital signature so in order to do this a document has to be in PDF because we are going to use the Adobe Acrobat DC ok you can also do this if you don't have the Acrobat DC you can just use the reader this is also available in Acrobat Reader so as I said earlier you will need to open up the document and the document has to be in PDF this right here is a document that I opened up and to the right of it are the tools that are available for me because these are the tools they already have used previously you may have this may not may have more or maybe just a little it just depends on what tools you really have used in the past so after you open up your document as your first step your second step is to go on the top left corner of your screen and hit tools from there it will show you all the tools that are available for you so you just need to scroll down and look for a certificate and it's right there I already click open so after I open it that tool now became available on my left side of my screen together with other tools so in order for me to activate the certificates all I have to do yes to click it so now after I click certificates which is step four these tools on the top is going to be available for me since I want to sign it electronically so I'm going to choose digitally sign and then after I hit that I will be prompted to create a signature box which is your step six and here's your step 7 it says continue or configure new digital ID so at this time let's pretend that you don't have a digital ID yet so and that is the one that I wanted to show you today and of course sign the document so let's go ahead and choose configure new digital ID so after that this window is going to pop so from this point your computer is asking you what do you want to do now so basically you wanted to configure digital ID so you click digital ID here so now another pop-up window will appear it's asking you to select the type of digital ID I am going to select the last option which is create a new digital ID create yourself signed digital ID and then after that all I have to do is hit continue so another pop-up window appeared now it's asking me to select a destination of my new digital ID and at this point I'm just going to save it to file save the digital ID to a file in my computer and after I do that I had continue so now I am on another screen which is a digital ID at this time my computer just pulled up my information I did not have to enter that it's populated according to my laptop and now I have to click Next down at the bottom right corner from here it's asking me on where I wanted to save my digital ID you can just leave it as is on the where it's at or the file name right there leave it on where it's at or you you can put it to whichever location you want it to be saved and then you have to enter your password and confirm your password please make sure that you know the password that you use here or else you're going to be locked out and you wouldn't be able to use your digital ID now after you enter your password go ahead and click finish now after you click finished now it's really showing your digital signature with the time that you created it as well as a date and of course your name and aside from that if you want you can see that over here there is a create you can even click that and that's very easy to follow this is where you create your own signature you can either you use a mouse to create your signature or you can take a picture of your signature and insert there as an image but this is how it looks like all right so this is a continuation of earlier that if you already have set up your digital ID so after you draw your signature box all you have to do is to click continue and now it's going to appear the digital ID that you have created earlier at this point you will need to enter your password and also like the document to make sure that document is not going to be altered after you sign it and then of course the number 10 step is to sign it after you sign it there will be a pop-up window and basically it's asking you to save your document the document that you have just signed at this point let me give you a little tip it's better that you create a folder for all the electronic documents that you have created this is to help you organize and you know where to find all those documents that you have signed electronically then you will just need to find the location where you want to save your document and then after that you click save as your stay step 12 you can either open the document that you have signed and to review that the signature is in fact embedded in the document and this is how it looks like well thank you for watching and I hope that you learned something new today please subscribe
