Hey everyone it's Andy LaCivita, Founder of Milewalk and the Milewalk academy an award winning author of the Hiring Prophecies, here with this week's episode of tips for work and life. We're going to talk about three easy ways to create something original. This post, this video is for anybody who's struggling to create something new and innovative. Maybe your boss has challenged you to improve a product, or there's a better way to do the project. Maybe you got to write a speech. Maybe you want to write a blog post, or a book, or something insanely new. It gets harder and harder as time goes on. It's gotten harder and harder, because there's more things on the internet. You got more people doing more stuff and exposing it to the world. How do you create that something new and fresh? Especially if you don't think you have a creative bone in your body. Good news for you, you don't need to be creative, you just have to have an opinion. Maybe a little experience too. Whenever I'm looking for new and great ways to ... Different ways to and fresh ways, just to give you good content and I'm struggling with it. There's three things that I do. Now, I review a lot of material out in the world. I read a lot of different kind of books. I read a lot of online magazines. I do a lot of research. Whenever I come across an idea ... For you maybe it's something you've already built, or you've already written, or you've already created. Take a look at that and I typically ask myself three questions, or make three statements to try to stimulate those ideas. This video is about giving you a way to take that first step on to creating something new. First thing, the easiest one. When you look at something in the world, or you're doing your research, or you're thinking and you don't agree with something. Simple fact is, in your opinion that's not true, because ... Think about why that is. Jot those notes and use those notes to start stimulating your ideas about why that's not true and take it from there. That's one way and that's if you see something already in existence and you simply don't agree with it. What about if you do see something that you, for the most part agree with. Number two is, yes I see that. Yes I agree with that. Yes that's solid, but there are some things I would change. There are some things I would improve. There are some things I would redo. There are some things I would add. Whatever it might be. For the most part that's true, but and then what are those exceptions? That's the second thing. Then the third way is, what if you look at something and you just love it. You think, yes that's true, entirely that's true. There's always more you can add....
