[Music] hey friends welcome back to the maranatha global bible study on the book of revelation this is now session 43. uh in last week's session we discussed the false prophet the great delusion the great deception at the end of the age and the falling away or the apostasy um for me personally it was actually a very sort of heavy discussion we discussed the fact that far more than being clever or super smart or having it all figured out or you know being smarter than everyone else or this type of thing far more important as we potentially enter the actual unfolding of these events far more important are heart issues and we looked at the passage um off the top of my head i'm sure where it is in the gospels where jesus basically said look the words that i'm speaking they're not my own only they're from the father and then he said if anyone is willing to actually do the will of the father then they will know that what i'm saying is true and so we highlighted the fact that if we want to escape deception in the last days it really is an issue of constantly checking ourselves to say lord are we in submission to your will or are we wandering off and following our own will when we follow our own will we deceive ourselves and little by little we get to the place where we can fall for a tremendous lie we are those that the lord says you loved wickedness you did not love the truth and so for me yes listen whether or not we will live to see the events of the antichrist and the false prophet on all these things is yet to be seen how is that information relevant for us right now how is all of this discussion about the false prophet the great delusion the apostasy relevant right now right now people are falling away from the lord all around us particularly in the west and so it's important for us to ask ourselves to be introspective and look at our own hearts and say lord what led these beloved individuals who little by little eventually their love grew cool grew cold and they walked away what caused that and is there anything in my life personally that i need to be aware of that i need to change that i need to fix myself on to prevent myself quite frankly from falling away and so as i said it was a very heavy session now in this session as promised we're going to discuss the incredibly controversial mysterious difficult subject matter of the name the number the mark and the image of the beast and by the grace of god in this session yes we'll tease out some of the details we'll try to look at it from a different perspective and this type of thing just get people's minds thinking...
