hey BOTS builders this is Tim the Batman with Tim Armstrong marketing and today I'm gonna show you how to set up your chat bot to actually Auto populate phone numbers and emails straight from people's Facebook profiles so you don't have to worry about getting bunk leads anymore or bunk information in your leads so check this out I just created a new flow real quick hit new flow it opens up a thing where you can label the flow and it pops you right in so I like to start things out right in flow builder so I can see what's going on so the starting thing you do when you have a new tile set up here and it's got this add a button below it this is a text field what you're going to want when you want to grab emails or phone numbers is a user input field so if your tile starts out with hey thanks for the information you know here let me just show you so you can put it right in here you can always go ahead and delete the text box and have this be put in here so if you wanted to ask someone you know is this the best phone number to reach you simply click to confirm or enter your best number right so that's a great way to ask for their phone number because what's gonna happen is is when it pops up in front of them it's gonna say it's gonna put that phone number in there but not automatically what happens is is in this free keyboard input field you've got to come up here and select phone and then if somebody puts something other than a phone number in there it will give them another chance that I'll say please enter a correct phone number and what you want to do is you want to make sure that this field name is saved properly as phone number so you can see in here I've got best phone I might even have phone in here let me look yeah I've got phone right so what happens is when you type something in here like you know City right it'll say custom new field but if you've already got phone in there it'll just go ahead and give you the options and it'll save it as a text field in there so I'm just gonna put phone in here boom if not you'll have to create the new field which was as easy as doing what I showed you when I started typing city it says new custom field you just click that plus button when you're done typing out whatever you want to save it as if you don't have phone already in there and it'll put that into a custom field so you can even if you want to get fancy have it perform an action once somebody puts their phone number in there you could have it notify the admin right you could have it notify the admin that I just gave you my phone number just give you phone number and you could have that messengered over to you as soon as somebody puts a phone number in there that action could happen right so that's how you grab a phone number and if you're thinking about creating a flow that grabs phone numbers and emails you know you just go right to the next step as soon as somebody puts that in there choose the next step send a message I can get this out of the way okay now this is again a text field so you can see cuz it's got to add a button there but we want to grab somebody's email so we delete that user input and we go and is this the best email to you write something like that and then when you're in there you'll see it's a reply type so you'll come down here you'll go email and in the field you can see I've already got the email yield created so I don't have to create it by eating that plus button that pops up so I just clicked email so there it is and that way if somebody puts something in there that's not a valid email that'll tell them hey please enter an email like this right so anyway that's how you get this thing to grab it and store it automatically and if you'll notice down here like I like I did when somebody puts that information in there you can go continue the next step choose the next step and it could be perform action start another flow a delay if you like or simply send another message and you're off to the next one or you say hey thanks you know and then I'll get back to you and you put your picture in there and your phone number or whatever you can add that button that says you know you know oh no right then you put my phone number in there and there's a button now that calls people that calls me as soon as they hit that button you know so no worries that's how you get that to auto populate is by using those custom input fields like I showed you here why is this in the way there we go right here user input so you're gonna want to make sure that that text field gets turned into a user input field and then how you test it is simply shoot it over to preview right so I'm going to open messenger is this the best phone number to reach you at simply confirm what get populated it's perfect and then look a text below as a notification from Tim Armstrong marketing bot Tim just gave you this phone number so that's the notification that I programmed it to do and I can check it in live chat if I want to or here's the message that the bot delivered to me next which was is this the best email to reach you at simply click to confirm so there it is perfect right really cool hey thanks call Tim now and if I was on my phone and I clicked call Tim now it would dial the number and set it up so that it was waiting for me to push the Go button on my phone app anyway hopefully this
