hi and welcome to clapia in this video we shall understand what is a signature block how to create andy uses of it let us say a company is delivering products to its customers and wanted to take customer signature on the delivery receipt the signature of the client can be captured using signature block it can be used for capturing signatures signing forms contracts etc in this application i'm collecting customer details his name contact number and the time and date of delivery let us click on edit app and add a signature block to this once i click on add field signature block would appear under data upload blocks and it would be named as signature once i click on it on the right panel you would be able to name it in this case i'm going to name it as signature of the customer i would not be describing it because the label itself is self-explanatory if you want to you can go ahead and add the description the next option that we have here is allow signature to be changed by the user if this option is enabled the user would be able to change the signature after the submission has been done i'm now going to disable it i'm also going to make it a required option without this signature the submission cannot be complete now once i click on save and click on view app i would see that the signature block has been added to my application let us quickly make a submission here for the signature we need to press and hold the left click on the mouse and right on the signature block as normal for some reason if you wanted to change the signature you can always go back here to this particular icon here click on it and the signature would vanish for now let me make a signature and click on submit great now let's click on view submissions and you can see the details of the customer along with her signature has been captured let us quickly see how this application looks on the mobile phone i have opened clapia application on the mobile phone and i'm going to open delivery receipt which is the application that we were entering details on i'm going to quickly make an entry into this application and for the signature you need to write using your finger and quickly make a signature you would get the same option here for instance uh if you wanted to change the signature you can always go and click on the icon there and the signature would vanish and quickly make a signature once i click on submit this data would be collected and now you can see that the data that was submitted on the desktop and also on the mobile phone has been captured here so once i go back to the desktop and click on submissions try and download the submissions you can see both the submissions has been recorded and the signature will be a jpeg file that will be loaded onto the system great that's it for this video in this video we have understood what is a signature block and how to use it on the desktop and also on the mobile phone if you have any more questions you can always chat with us or you can schedule a call with us and we will call you back to help you further with it thank you very much for your patience and goodbye
