how to iron on paper how to iron on cardstock how to iron on amazing gift bags this process is pretty much the same across the board and you guys are gonna really enjoy using iron-on in different ways now you may be thinking Tanner why would I want to iron on paper or bags rather than stenciling or you like gluing cardstock or even putting vinyl on it and I want to say first of all you would think vinyl would be the easiest but honestly when you put vinyl and transfer tape on some paper like this you're almost guaranteed it's going to rip off 100% it's so bad so what we really like to do is use iron and it gives it that permanent feel give us that finished look to it and it's always flawless so just like ironing on wood there's a few tips and tricks to really twist this project around to really make it the best it can be so today we're gonna go over that this file is actually from our Easter collection that we love and this is a great another example that you can have amazing project amazing for you guys to be able to unzip all of your files on your iPad or iOS but remember guys if you get a membership to makers gonna learn and you have your laptop desktop you do not need any falls is it requires no like work I mean you import the fall in and you're good yeah you just like size it and then you're good yeah so we're gonna click replace and guys we're working with iron on today so guess what we need to do we need to turn a mirror on when you're coming back image yes we love mirroring our image and then we're gonna press Continue now we've already added our iron on to our mat and we're just going to be able to set our material to iron on we're using regular iron on for today's project do you have enough of it there oh we're right on the edge but I think we're gonna make it I think we're good I just clicked out of this despair bein so okay k good so we've mirrored it and we when you're working with iron for any newbies or any friends out there that are you know not be working with iron-on recently like we have them I always put your material shiny side down because it's that's why you mirrored it you're putting the you're putting it reverse so really it has that built-in backer the transfer tape that is built inin and you have to put it shiny side down so it's gonna cut upside down so anyway weird go use fast mode for today's project why not should we do default pressure I would but I don't know about fast mode though but if you want to do fast mode you know what I'll do regular pressure cuz yesterday what did we cut yesterday was it my it was it was a printable vinyl yeah the blank cut through the backing sheet Oh Oh No so I'll do default pressure and I'll turn fast bind off we'll do nothing we're doing nothing extra we're just going to cut away Rachel how is everyone doing in the comments good so we do have a question okay when you say commercial license or what is that I'm very no that is totally fine welcome to our community a commercial license allows you to use our artwork on image on projects and sell them for example you can take this gift bag and sell it if you wanted to with our artwork or you could take a t-shirt you made with one of our images and sell it so it allows you to use our artwork that our artists create for your profit as long as you have an active yearly membership that doesn't mean you can sell the SVG file like online that just means you can use our artwork in your machine and then make a project and sell it so that's what a commercial license is that you know so I hope that answers your question it's pretty basic but yeah and okay this is a good question that you had me ask a Saturday because there are no words so do you still need to mirror that image well obviously it wouldn't be it wouldn't line up the exact way that you had it before because it would be flipped but I say when you're using iron-on I don't care if you're cutting a circle I want you is if you're using iron-on to get in the habit of turning mirror on I don't want people to be confused oh I forgot it was text I forgot to turn it on so always no matter what the best rule of thumb when it comes to using iron-on is to make sure you mirror that image just for you to get in the process of doing it I hope that makes sense but it would look for this it would just look like it is reversed but it wouldn't affect it unless you knew about it so hopefully that makes sense but yeah we're just cutting through this is a pretty detailed image so it will take a little bit Tom to cut and then a little bit Tom to read but it'll be totally worth it for today's aren't on project I'm just so glad that we could be using the easy press right yeah me too we finally got it out definitely so how's the comments Rachel are there any the project yes Paxton a and where's the other way this applies he'll kill me that's why he look at oh I know it's quite wary that I can kill it but we have two or three people that's asking okay I love the bag does it only have to be paper bags I didn't know you could aren't on paper badges so I wouldn't say this could work on any bag obviously but it works really well on craft bags of our Scranton cardstock it works great on paper bags you could test how other one should just be mindful of you know you couldn't do like a rubber bag because it could like totally like burn rubber and stretch it and like do things that you would not look good on pleather is kind of those that other process that you could really work it so be careful about that yeah 100% genuine leather and things like that are totally okay to iron on that's on a problem it's just like that pleather which is kind of like rubber it's like printed rubber yeah it's interesting and it Lilly says did you get it no Blake still qualify you go get like Lilly says new subscriber and new to Cricut I want a Cricut maker but doesn't but I don't have an EZ press with this projects to work with an iron it would work with an iron and we use the easy press map for extra quality I do have to recommend if you don't have the budget or you don't have like if you don't just want if you don't want to get an easy press um an easy press I would consider investing in one of these because there's certain processes that this has built into it to send that heat back up and maybe it'll help like evenly distribute your irons heat so yeah you can still do this project just know that it probably won't be hopefully as flawless or I hope ours will be a flawless result but it may not be flawless when it comes out so you may on tissue paper it is a very delicate material so I don't know I would think you could but it's like in what way would you want I think they're like most intricate thing that I've ironed on would be the napkins that Beth Kingston was teaching us how to do at our first fall Senate last year at a false on it last year like it was amazing to see all the things that she was doing with iron on in her like this is such an easy way to revamp those little bags because again there's like it's like a three pack for a dog yeah and you can just use scrap pieces of your iron-on to really take it to the next one you can put like a little birthday quote on here and you could do something fun with it well we do have over 800 cups over 800 cup falls over 80 fonts with a nother 80 coming out on launch week so it's gonna be so much fun and guys you got to see how easy it was to truly make a really awesome iron-on project with cardstock with craft paper with any material you want to be able to make this super super easy so what do you guys think what does everyone say in Raich everyone loves it but we have a couple people that I think are just chiming in okay that are taking hits it's you because you did not use vinyl now oh no what listen I don't know if you all have ever used vinyl on cardstock because I just want to say me and Tanner did test this with vinyl we yeah we love we love bottle but what is gonna happen when your transfer tape it is it would rip the paper I should have kept it so we could show them what it did it would rip your cardstock so that's why we use iron-on and I do have to say iron-on gives such a better feel and it makes it way more permanent so if you've never tested iron-on on anything besides fabric test it out on a paper bag it's very affordable as she got to see very simple it's not like you bought a $15.00 shirt and if it doesn't turn out well you know well I would really add a lot of money or a wood slab like god I meant on wood you can't have a craft fell very easily um but this right here is a gray scrap piece to test just to see how iron-on works rather than just on fabric rock it is a great thing to get you out of your element Targa has these gift bags all the room I love target is a great way to personalize gift bags in a bag and if you're going to sell gift bags if you are going to you know give your products in any type of bag you can make company you'd have your little vehicle because this is such a prominent result like the feel on this is really really nice or you could just top out your name and your email address and your phone number with one of our fonts and like that on the bag just so people definitely people you know cuz I love it yeah really great you could do little boxes to put to and from for your clients if you're selling like a your wrap thing and they could rot in there and the customer could rot in whoever the customers giving it to name and information super fun super easy you can do birthday quotes on their little you know thank you notes and things like that on the bag just to give it that extra pizazz we're all about that here it's a lot of fun so yeah what else are people
