hi I'm Cheryl Smith with expand technology here's your tech tip for the week this week I'm going to discuss something that came up when I visited one of our wonderful clients they were concerned with how long it takes them to actually print documents that have an email to them I think I found a great solution I hope you enjoyed the second do you spend a lot of time opening attachments to print them whether it be a Word document PDF or just a picture image well I'm going to show you a quicker way to do so now traditionally we open up the email we go we open up the attachment we go to file print or we select the printer icon and by doing so it takes a lot of time I'm going to show you another option but I have to caution you the option I'm going to show you does not give you the ability to pick what printer so your printer must be defaulted correctly and it does not give you the printing preferences such as stapling and collating but it is a lot quicker to print if those things are not important to you what you do is make sure you have your reading pane open to do so just go to view reading pane and select whether you would like it to the right or to the bottom I prefer the right go over to your email in the attachment and right mouse click a kneel select print now what happens is the document opens prints and closes by itself and that's how much time it saves you now that was a Word document you can do the same thing as you'll see here for an image it'll open and close it's already printed here I have a PDF same thing right mouse click print takes a little longer for the PDF to open but it'll open and seen it briefly prints and closes this should save you a lot of time I hope this tip is helpful and stay tuned for more tips
