some credit collection companies are even going into people's names on social media they're going on people's stories and stuff trying to embarrass leaving comments so it's a serious matter man but uh [Music] what is good my good people my name is Martin welcome back to my channel if you haven't subscribed make sure you will hit that subscribe button man and a crash notification bell step today with everything I got going on our new videos I got coming to you weekly please make sure you watch this video to the end I will be telling my story on how it happened to me but first before I get to that I'm gonna go through the steps on how to help you if you ever dealing with this or you know somebody dealing with this just make sure you watch the full video to get the full gist of it all and also to hear my story because it can happen anybody so I know this this issue this thing I'm talking about may be foreign to some people but if there's actually something that can happen and it does happen quite frequently believe it or not and it can severely affect your credit report if you do nothing about it so how can it get escalated to that level how could it get to the point where you have a Macy's credit card it's a twenty five hundred dollar limit and don't you max it out you stop making payments on there how there's that twenty five hundred dollar day get so to a collection company the collection company is bugging you and bugging you all the time I mean there may even get text messages now I haven't seen a meme and it's true where this some credit some credit collection companies are even going into people's names on social media they're going on people's stories and stuff trying to embarrass leaving comments so it's so it's a serious matter man but uh to get to that to escalate it to uh to them wanting to go to court and it's rude you know serving you papers that means it got to a point where they basically gave up they basically say okay these guys not whereas girls not gonna pay so uh we're gonna check litigation on them in you know we're going to do it that long basically in a nutshell man this whole thing of the collection agencies suing people for the debts oh it all boils down to a scare tactic yes the delivery process is intense it can be scary especially if you've never been in a situation like that so basically these collection agencies will hire a person to deliver actual person whose business it is to deliver so sometimes it could be a sheriff so if you ever got deliver or subpoena to go to court they have to personally deliver it to you and you've got to sign off on it and stuff like that so they can know that that you received it it's just a it's a crazy situation man so it can't be a lot as scary when I went through what I was like man I didn't know what to do I'm gonna do a lot of research and everything like that but so basically they either go certified mad with it where you gotta sign or they'll have a sheriff or they have another outside third-party company deliver the court-ordered paper to you to show up to court which you know when they get to that level man they couldn't reach you or you weren't complying you were saying well your debt or you just didn't care about your credit now if you're going through this so like if you just receive papers from either attorney or sheriff you got served papers to show up the court over a debt do not be scared I mean like I said before it's a scare tactic wait but it's a scare tactic that you know make you got a you got to take action basically and if you don't take action it's gonna be repercussions mainly on your credit report and it can affect it severely man cuz it's a putt could be a public record so when you first get this letter man I got it I came up with three options I mean these are all the options that I took and I'll let you know later on this video which option I took and how I end up handling it so the first option when you get served its papers is to first contact your lawyer so go go go do a google search on contact like I put in I think like credit repair lawyers or like credit lawyers and stuff like that but uh when it happened to me I was actually receiving a lot of letters because it's public record so I was receiving a lot of letters from attorneys talking about you know bankruptcy chapter 7 chapter 11 bankruptcy and just different opposite of helping me but I actually did a google search and I looked up a credit attorney I put that in and it I talked to a couple of people and they gave me some really good ideas one told me you know just you know what do and he wanted me to send them on paperwork and he said he will go to court for me can fight it tell me the price it wasn't that bad and stuff like that so that's one option and that's probably the smartest option I would think just because when you in that situation you're scared you never probably dealt with that before so definitely contact an attorney um first before you know doing any other options or less you want to go straight to the second option and the second option is to call the collection agency who's trying to who's suing you and work out a payment arrangement so a lot of times on that's really what they want they don't want to go to court but if you do go to court you will have to be you have to pay all the dead back if you if it don't really in a favor so if you get an attorney you can win it you know I'm saying I mean you get a good enough attorney you can win any pretty much anything but you know it's gonna take a lot of money and stuff like that and if you got it like that go ahead but if you really kind of don't the second option is probably the option I would you know yours you'll see is to just call the collection agency who's suing you and work out some type of deal so like say if you oh if you if you owe $10,000 I mean these companies bought your they bought they bought this from a company that you originally owe and say it's worth $10,000 that you owe they probably bought it for about two grand or less so they don't really care about the whole $10,000 of course they want to get as much as possible they're our business but when you call these people just definitely never pay the full price if you want to negotiate with them always get a really good deal and you can either if you got the enough money to pay a lump sum or if you got it you got enough money you can just make payment monthly payments they'll work with you just get it out of your life you know I'm saying that's it get to that point where you get the court papers and you get that serious you just want that stuff out of your life so just month o money and so my third and final option is to completely do nothing and that's that's always the option but it's risky man it's super risky for one you have a judgment against you so if your order to go to court buy one of these collection agencies they have attorneys real attorneys write this stuff up and put it in the court your state and yeah they'll fly out if they're from California live in New York they'll have attorneys represent them they'll show up to court you know I mean so if you want to go to court route of course get an attorney lawyer up but if you don't and if you don't want to pay them off you just want to ignore it it will be a judgment on your credit report and that's one of the worst things you can get judgments off your credit reports but it's just hard it's just really really hard for one that can grab your wages they can go on your bank account so they oh they'll find a way to get the money back some way somehow man like you you just don't want that over you over your head so definitely man if you get a letter in the mail if you get served papers to go to court over of where your credit cards that you that you know you in debt for now if you're not in debt for it's not you that's a whole nother story you know it's a whole other video as well but if you know assures a either lawyer you're up or call it a collection agency and work on a payment arrangement and never pay full price on the debt if you want to take care of it that way and make sure it doesn't not showing your credit report or they don't take it to judgment and done you're good but then one-nothing Menace is stupid and I know people watching this is not stupid and no you're not ignorant so we're not gonna do that I'm not gonna talk about that because you're gonna do something you're gonna take action because it's a serious thing and we want healthy credit reports and everything like that here we go here's my story and what I did to to fix the situation that I was in with a CREP to credit card companies fate it was two different um credit card companies I owed a few thousand and I was younger you know when they went even to too long it was a few within a few years I'm saying that I wasn't always responsible so don't feel bad if you you know you're going through something so what happened was I was these two companies and not just I was going through a lot I was doing my business and um I was uh if you see some of my dumpster rental videos and for my other business I had a $10,000 a month in salary budget for um just paying my employees and a lot of my invoices weren't getting paid at the time so I had to max our credit cards and just to pay my people who it was around the holidays too so I went into some severe debt I went into some severe stress I got to the point where I said forget it and I'm just gonna hash out man and if I gotta I just I was just ignorant man and I was like not ignorant but I was doing business nothing if I got to do bankruptcy y'all do I'm just going max out cuz I gotta still operate my business so I went into thousands of dollars of debt on those credit cards and I had no intention of like messing around and paying them like that I was going I was gonna paying I'm like y'all have to come get me man that's how am i I'm telling y'all being transparent that's how my mind was thinking at the time so you know over time I kept calling me and stuff like that you know a sort of my credit report didn't really care because I was working with cash and I still work with just cash I don't never really use credit like that only to leverage and buy stuff properties and whatever you know cars and stuff so you know that's someone that was my mentality um then I got served these papers man and a guy knocked on my door and regular clothes and he was like you're Martin and I was like yeah you said this and he served me the papers so when he served me the papers I'm gonna hook and I looked at him and it was from you know ohio minutes Municipal Court in my city Santa had a court date later that month where the next month and I'm like what and it showed me you know so who was suing me then it showed up on the back of show the first page of show like the court docs and you know the court you know the whatever you call it and on the next page you had like my signatures for like when I pulled the credit cards and stuff like that how much not oh now look that I'm like man you know this legit man I just got to take care of you so when I first got caught a lawyer and I gave me all this stuff and it was just like a lot he was like well he was basically trying to get me to file bankruptcy and he won relief people go to court for me but he was like eh you probably better off filing bankruptcy cuz they can't come after you and stuff like that but I'm like I don't want a bankruptcy on my credit report even though I fixed my credit report when I got the military I got up to like 700 and then after that you know with my business I started using all the credit in maxing out and I went way down went down to the 500 so I lost like 200 points within like three years you know it's solely on my business it's solely because of my business because of the credit had to use and I didn't have enough money to pay it back so yeah they served me the papers in the after that and I talked to the lawyer they want to file bankruptcy so I'm like okay man you know if time was winding down I was letting stuff go by I was just going to sleep I was getting depressed and scared like man my mother might I know what was gonna happen so I just got a bright idea one time I was like man let me call the company so I called the company and they basically said we can set up payment arrangement and it was a pretty penny I'll hide the pit like thirteen hundred dollars down and I was paying $400 every two weeks so I was doing $800 a month for two for three months and plus I put a down payment of a mom of thirteen hundred but I cut it I cut the debt they negotiated it down fifty percent and that was good you know I mean I avoided court I avoided that going on my credit report and I was like a win-win you know you had cost me money in Long Room but I did it I know that it was my fault I know that home you know I'm gonna taking care of my business the right way so hopefully you watching this video you will learn from it you know I'm saying uh don't do the same things that I did and I hope this
