hey guys jason here with quantum courses and in this video we'll be going over how to create product templates on printful printful is an awesome website that you can use to create your own drop shipping store to sell custom products ranging from t-shirts to hoodies to coffee mugs and cell phone cases printable offers a print on demand service where you can create custom products to upload to your online store such as your website or Shopify and print full will add your designs to each product and ship them to your customers each time an order is placed so let's go over the process to add your own designs to the products first if you haven't created your print full account yet you can support this channel by clicking the link in the description to sign up for front full for free once you sign up you can integrate printful with your online store and start creating custom products to offer to your customers so let's go over how to design your first product template once you signed into print both you want to look at the menu on the left hand side and click on product templates from here we're gonna look up at the top right and click on the new template button here you can do all the different products that are offered by principles go ahead and search through the various products and find the one that you want to sell to your customers for my product template I think I'll add a new t-shirt design printful has a huge collection of different t-shirts that you can offer depending on the style you want to use for this example I think I'll go with the bestseller unisex premium t-shirt three zero zero one after you select your product you'll then be taken to the design page here's where you can select various options such as colors and sizes you want to offer and add your custom design so let's check out some of the options that I could select for this t-shirt under choose technique I can select printing DTG or embroidery printing DTG stands for direct to garment and is a printing method that sprays the ink directly onto the garment using inkjet technology with embroidery the design is actually sewn into the garment for this example I'm just gonna use printing DTG unlike other platforms printful actually allows you to add your design to multiple places on the shirt such as the front the back the sleeves and even the outside or inside label but for now let's just select to create a design for the front of my shirt you can also see the colors that are available that you can offer you can choose to add all the colors or select them individually at the bottom of the mock-up on the right hand side you can see examples of all the colors that you have selected simply click the image to add it to the main mock-up so now that we've selected our printing style and our colors let's start creating our design if you already have images or a completed design you want to use simply click on upload file here you can also edit and add text to your products or even add clipart to your product that's available on print form so let's go over an example of these three options if you don't already have your own images or designs maybe you'll want to add some clipart printful has various clip art collections that you can browse through to add images to your products let's check out some of the images in the one line art clipart collection so here's some different clipart that you can choose to add to your product as an example let's click on this one to add it to my t-shirt there we go you can use the tools on the left hand side to rotate the image align it flip it change the color or even duplicate the image you can also click on the image itself to rotate the image change the size or move it around let's make my image a bit bigger and let's also change the color I think I'll change mine to this dark blue here so that's how you add clipart from the printful media library if you want it to add text as well simply scroll back up and click on the add text tab you can then type whatever text you want to add into the box here as you type you'll see the text automatically appear on your product once you've written your text you can then use the menu on the left hand side to edit your taste you can choose your text alignment choose the font of your text the text color choose an outline add a shadow change your text size or even change your letter spacing or the line height to change the text size you can use the menu or simply go over to the text on the mock-up and drag the corner so let's add a shadow to my text if I click the drop down menu under shadow I can start by selecting the shadow color I can then select the distance the shadow is from my text and also change the angle of the shadow if you wanted to change the font of your text simply go to the drop down menu under choose typeface you can then select from several different fonts depending on the style you want to use if you scroll down and look under the rotate slotter you'll see a new feature that allows you to arc your text simply use the slider to arc your text however you wish remember to keep your images and your text inside of the print area which is the gray box shown on your product mock-up if you wanted to add text or a design to another location on your product simply scroll up above the mock-up and select another location to add your design if I select left sleeve I can add a new design and text just like I did on the front of my shirt to remove a designer text simply click the red X at the top right if you have your own image or design that you've already created that you want to add to your product you want to click on the upload file button under the design tab you can then click on the red upload button and open up the file you wish to add make sure your image is high-quality and in vector or PNG format with a transparent background once your image uploads simply go down to the image and click on choose the image will then automatically be added to your mock-up where you can arrange resize or edit your image you can then add even more images or add an edit new text as well so let's upload a premade design that I've already made for my martial arts in meditation brand remember to go to upload file then upload the design you wish to add now I'm gonna resize and rearrange my image to get it on a perfect location on my t-shirt remember to keep your image and text inside the gray box print area so preview how your design looks on the various colors that you select it go down to the bottom of your mock-up and select the color you wish to view if everything looks good you can now go down and click on Lorraine continue but here's what you can create a title for your product template select the sizes that you wish to offer and see the other information that you selected for your product once all your information looks correct go down to the red safe product template button dang congratulations you've just created a new product template on printables you can now order a sample of your design order inventory or add the new design to your online store so that's the quick tutorial of how to create product
