[Music] what's up guys welcome to another video here on my channel variety and airs where we talk about everything currency I thought it'd be a helpful video to talk about some print airs that are worth big money that you can actually find in your pocket money so let's take a look at five print airs that you can find right in your bill searches that can be worth good money over face value give you a premium over face value when you go to resell them the first of these print errors to look at would be a reverse overprint err back over print airs are the result of an uncut sheet being fed into the printing press with the obverse of the note facing the over printing press the information that would be normally printed to include the Treasury and Federal Reserve District seals district numbers and serial numbers would be missing elements from the front of the note and instead be displayed on the back of the note these notes can command a very high premium over face value an example of a ten dollar banknote from 1981 with an over print heir was great at 63 ppq and sold for almost $400 at auction the next error would be an inverted over print air when a she is fed upside down relative to the existing face print the result is the Treasury seal district seal district number and serial numbers being printed upside down on the bill inverted third print errors are not necessarily massively rare but are hard to come by but also command a large premium over their face value an example of a $1 banknote Series 1974 with an inverted over print was graded 25 P P Q so not the greatest of value but still sold for almost three hundred dollars at auction another error would be a misaligned over print or also known as a shifted print air you've seen these commonly in minor facets in our bill searches when over prints occur when the serial number and seals are out of position vertically or horizontally and are so far from the appropriate position that they cover unintentional for example a district seal might be so shifted in its print that it could partially or fully obscure the face on the front of the note so in an example of a one dollar banknote with the depiction of George Washington on the front a shifted print might have the serial numbers or seal or both obscuring a portion of this picture another error to look for is a missing over print error a note with a missing over print is easily recognizable because the bill lacks serial numbers and seals these command a high premium for an example of a series 1995 one dollar bank note the over print sold for almost three hundred and forty dollars at auction and our last error in this video is the missing second printing now these are very very rare but many examples can be seen in many collections as well as seen in auctions similar to a missing over print a note with a missing second print is super recognizable because the note is missing its face printing entirely therefore no subject or denomination is displayed on the note so an example here is missing quite a majority of the elements that would normally be seen on a note and would be quite rare to make it through the checks before going out into circulation but like I said many examples have found their way into circulation and are valued quite highly in the case of a ten dollar banknote graded PCGS 66 it sold for over $1000 an auction so all of these errors are things that you could come across in your bill searches and are valued way over their normal face values let me know what you think of these print errors and also what you come across in your bill searches lately I will talk to you in the comments below and I will see you in the next video [Music]
