[Music] okay i was going to show you what i do with so i started a new line of patterned papers and i don't love this stark white of the back of the papers so i was going to show you what i do so i print these off so this is the valentine line that i have so what i do is i grab these and then i get some gesso and i make some marks this this has a little bit of coffee dye on this foam um paint brush here and so i just i'm kind of adding some marks with this then i take my um stabilos and i add some marks just random i just like to break it up and then a little bit of this in there so i just do a quick little mashup on these so i tried to get this little thin but just to give it some texture on the back i do this then i'll put it to the side and let it dry but i continue to do this with the papers and then mark them up here and then add some marks some scribbles some circles just i just i'm not even paying attention to what i'm doing actually i'm just kind of laying down some marks so whenever i cut these up they're they're not plain on the back because i hate like whenever there's a pretty um front and then a plain white back i used to be okay with it and just i don't know recently i don't know i'm just not so um if you are that's fine too like i was for the longest time and then i'm going through this grungy phase well i've always kind of had a grungy face but um i've just i'm embracing it this year i guess and so um i really like adding a little bit of marks and that kind of thing to things so anyways i'll let that dry and then we'll come back okay so here's what i do next i make sure that i have a wet brush maybe get some water close by a spray bottle espresso instant coffee um and i just kind of sprinkle some on here and i also use those art infusions too um to do this too but today i'm just using using the coffee i might throw in some of those sprinkles but i'm just kind of moving the coffee around so i get it all wet saturate it i even have a dish over here with um uh some coffee crystallize in here that i'll sometimes i'll just kind of reconstitute it and work on it but i didn't have it done so i didn't do it anyways so i just kind of get all over here make it stained i'll turn it over and i will um paint this edge with the coffee um just kind of get it all moving around i don't have a fancy printer but i use this paper that's really made a difference and um so i just print on this paper and it's pretty tough and it holds up to what i do to it so i'll leave a link for that so the next thing i do so then i'll just i love this pattern by the way so i thought it might be fun to have this too on there it would be kind of fun okay and then i'll flip it over and do this side and then undo this one again i'm just i'm just continually layering some oops some coffee on here and string periodically just spreading it around kind of grab some of those coffee granules and just kind of painting it on haphazardly and then flipping it over i just stack on top of one another here and then when i'm done i take it and i um i hang them up in my art room and just let them dry they dry fairly quickly as long as i keep this pretty thin thin coated and then the last one here i'll add some coffee to this spritz it a little bit put the lid on it i just spilt it everywhere and i go through so much of this coffee that it's kind of precious to me so i will be salvaging that i went through i three of these and they last forever and i've done so much um collage fodder lately that i'm just kind of going through a ton of it so it's not that expensive but still it's kind of precious to me okay so i'm gonna flip this over and we'll do the back i'm just going to grab some of this that i spilled i'm such a mess it went everywhere oh well after i'm done with this i'll clean it up i'll clean it up while this dries then i can work on something else so basically i just kind of lay this down then make sure everything's covered pretty good and then i hang it up and let it dry and my um if you love the smell of coffee your art room will smell like coffee it's if you don't then go put it outside let it dry i don't i think it smells good anyway so i just kind of peel this up and hang it up and it'll be ready to go all right i thought i'd show you the result so this is with the coffee stain on it and this is just the plane so you can see how it makes it look aged but then if you love this bright crisp then that's perfect but i'm loving how this one turned out it i don't know it has like a greenish tint to it that i'm loving right now but that's that one this one i didn't hit it all so there's spots where it kind of is the original and i kind of like that too not sure why that happened and same with this one i miss parts of it but i i'm kind of digging it so but anyways this is what it looks like when you do them this way um i i love the coffee stains personally but and i could have made these um like i could have made these with that around it and another thing you can do is print to the edge and i always forget to print to the edge every time i do this i forget it i need to put a little posty note on there that says print to the edge but i don't mind it it works anyways there you go
