we are in Microsoft Windows 10 I'm going to show you how to change your printer default settings so let's go ahead and right click on our start button in the lower left hand corner and from there we're going to click on control panel make sure where it says view by at the top that you change from category to large icons from here we're going to go to our Devices and Printers and scroll down to your default printer right click on that printer and choose printing preferences from here we're going to change some printing preferences by default our orientation is going to be portrait from here we can change to landscape you can also change pages per sheet if you want and you can see a preview of what that would look like you can also go to the paper quality and from here we can see our paper source it will be automatically selected if you want to go to a particular tray you can choose that at that time your paper type is also here you can choose any one of these different papers assuming that you have them here otherwise just keep it at plain which is the default you can also change your quality settings and we'll go ahead and change that to best for now and we could also change the color from color to black and white we go ahead and click apply click OK now let's go back into our printing preferences and we can see that the changes that we made have now stuck so we have our landscape we have our best quality and now it's set to black and white until you go back and change it this will be the way it is however once you go to print you will have the option to manually change those in the print job itself so if we go to file print there's our default printer we can go to preferences and from here we can temporarily change back to portrait and back to color you
