[Music] what's up guys what's going on it's Ryan here just a quick video I got a message on Instagram wait is it a scram well I got a message somewhere I got a direct message somewhere I think is Instagram anyways and also I was listening to the podcast of the print life I've missed it on Sunday but I was able to watch again on YouTube yesterday and someone mentioned about film positives is there a way or alternative way of getting film positive printed than printing it yourself at home where are you shop if you don't have a printer there is a way there's actually two ways you can either send it to your local screen print supply if they offer film film positive printing I know anthem screen print supply in San Francisco does it also at NorCal screen print supply in Sacramento they also print film positive I get all of my screen print supply at NorCal screenprint supply in Sacramento there are two hours away from me at them is in San Francisco they're about an hour away from me so they're pretty much free local but as far as film positives I used to print them here in-house I have an Epson 4880 which I'll write out of black ink and I'm just honestly I'm just too lazy to buy more Inc and but you know I haven't really decided if I want to go all black or just get the regular cartridges I'm most likely gonna go all black I just haven't jumped the ship to pay 350 to 400 dollars and buying the whole black thing setup so this is my alternative I've been going to Staples and I've been printing my film positives there so the way I'm doing it is I bought fill positives and sheets like this this is 11 by 17 is by CCI ACC I also got like a 13-inch but I've been bringing this to Staples with a USB Drive with all of my artwork that needs to be printed on on film so here's an example of the film okay but as you can see I do have tape all around it because they they are using most likely they have a laser printer which this will go through trust me I'll go through but I have been having them print doubles so I can stack them together so here's an example right this is staples a nap by 11 this is one sheet as you guys can see light passes to it so what I've been doing is printing doubles and I just been stacking it together taping it up and now it's dark enough to print on screens alright hope that make sense so great one take a look at it if light passes through it just go in for another one if you can afford it okay just stack it up together okay so that's what I've been doing class you can see here this is a 11 by 17 sheet and I printed two of them and the other one on the back I just cut it up you can see here I just cut it up line them up together and there you go for me printing doubles and stack them together it's is good enough to print on the screens and how much they charge so my staples I'm sure it all the same so for me to print this which is a double it has cost me a dollar 16 plus tax now if you don't have your own feel positive then do have a half by 11 okay this paper will cost you a dollar so I'll suggest bring your own a jet bill and pray at Staples for less than two dollars I think for me I think that's worth it and it's a great alternative if you do not have the means of printing and if you do want to print locally I'm sure there's a Staples everywhere local near your area so if you do decide to do do the staples wrap once you finish your artwork put it on a flash drive and make sure you save it as a PDF as a hundred percent PDF as dark as you can on the on a digital copy when you bring it to Staples you have to make sure you tell them print actual size and if they on their end and if you can tell them to make sure they print it on actual size and if they can print it as dark as they can and print one print one per design and just hold it up to the light if you think it's dark enough that's great not going up for another one it want her this is my alternative for printing fill positives and I hope that helps somebody you can also check out at those creeper supply North Karen supply and their links are below and I see I think that's it thanks for watching I'll see you guys next one visit [Music]
