Print signer gender
hey what's going on guys victor chambers back with another video and in this video i want to walk you through exactly how i print loan documents for a loan signing appointment so in this business having a laser dual tray printer is absolutely a must-have and then also being able to correctly print the documents and be being able to correctly use your printer you know is is very important for being a successful signing agent so i have a sep sample loan package here that i'm not gonna actually go through the package i'm just gonna walk you through exactly how i print the package um you know before before i prep it you know before i go to a loan signing appointment so i'm gonna bring you into my screen here and as you can see here this is a sample loan package you have an altar here you have a note you have you know other documents in here it's about 122 pages somewhat typical for loan package size um they're typically anywhere from 120 to you know sometimes even 180 pages so um i have it open in adobe reader um you have to you know have adobe reader and you know be able to open the pdf and adobe reader uh as a as a first step you know definitely so um if you don't have adobe readout i believe it's a free download you can download it you shouldn't try to do this from the preview app if you have a mac or any other app on any computer you should use adobe reader that's what uh you know most loan officers and title companies are going to expect you to be you know to be able to use to print and so um you know obviously when i you know when i'm getting ready to print i'm checking to see if the dates on the documents are correct so you want to look at the closing date in the closing disclosure you want to look at the closing date in the note obviously this is very old but you want to be able to you know make sure those dates line up you want to check the closing date and the you know in the mortgage and the closing date on the closing disclosure all those documents should have the correct closing date you want to also make sure that you know the documents like the note have the correct property address as well you want to look out for that before you print and then you can can print but another thing i want to add before you print i spoke a little bit about the printer you want to definitely make sure that before each print you have toner and that you have sufficient letter and legal paper loaded into into each tray and that's important because in at least in what i i've experienced is that if you don't have enough of one paper or the other although you you know you configure your settings to print and mix paper sizes it will print to whichever one you uh you know you have if you so for example if you don't have any legal left it'll just start printing everything and letter and vice versa um which may be wrong because you know typically these packages have mixed page sizes and you don't want to you know print documents on letter that should be on legal and vice versa so you just want to make sure you have enough of uh letter and legal paper in your printer before you print that that's actually the first thing you should you should do and obviously have toner and all that good stuff so if we look at this long dock we're gonna we're gonna print um and actually before i do that i just what i normally do and this is kind of a trick i learn from somewhere i forget where but i actually flip the pages upside down and i do that so that when they come out of the printer the top of the all the pages will already be aligned it just makes it easier to to to stack them versus being aligned at the bottom i like them aligned at the top you know kind of a preference thing but you know i i print them you know i flip the pages you know before um you know before i print so i mean you don't necessarily have to do that that's what i do it works for me you obviously need to test out your printer and make sure that you know that that process works works for you your printer and the packages that you're getting so now if we print let me just bring the print dialogue screen over here um i have a couple of printers in here there's my brother brother hl hl-l 6200 dw the dwt is the one that has the second tray i actually uh brought the printer bought the printer without the second tray and then bought the second tray um separately and you can just you know put the dw on top of the additional tray um maybe i'll make another video about that but i select the correct printer and then you know i select to print all the pages these settings are very important you want to print to actual size you don't want any custom scaling or any of this you want to print to actual size and then this setting is what allows is how you tell your printer that you want to print based on the size of the page so it says choose paper source by pdf page size so if the page size is a letter page size it'll print uh it'll print the document on letter if it's a legal page size it'll print on on legal so you just want to have that selected i don't select this and then you don't want to print on both sides ever and then you know auto portrait landscape is typically is typically fine and then you just click print and print out the documents so it's it's pretty it's pretty straightforward now i recommend before you take your first signing um and before you start printing out loan packages that you do you know you do some tests so go into a word document and create you know a document that has two pages or a few pages some of them letter and some of them legal just put some dummy text on it save it as a pdf and then test print with that document and do you know come in here and and make sure your settings are correct and you know put use that as a test document to actually make sure that your printer will print out documents how how they should be that's that's what i did and it definitely helped me so um yes i mean that's pretty much it in terms of the the settings to print so like i said you need adobe reader you need to make sure your printer has you know definitely enough toner you need to make sure that there's enough letter and legal pages in their respective trays in the printer you need to make sure that before you print you review your pdf to make sure that there's no issues in any of the documents with dates or addresses or or names or anything like that all a lot of that will be driven based on the details of your actual the the actual assignment that's been given to you by the signing service or by the title company and then you would just come in and and print based on the the settings and configurations i just showed you and then obviously you would go in and prep your package so uh that's that's pretty much it it's pretty simple pretty pretty straightforward but obviously you have to master being able to do this and for the most part once you set it you know you don't have to think about it again um another thing to note is that sometimes you know when lenders put these packages together in title companies sometimes you know for example the cd you know might be the way they use the page might be a little weird and so sometimes for example you might print out the cd and the bottom of the the document or the pages will be cut off and sometimes i might have to go in for dope you know on a one-off kind of you know uh basis and like you know say okay the cd was on pages five through ten i had to reprint it i maybe you know say fit the fit the page and then print it out that way and then kind of take a look at it just to make sure that it you know prints out correctly but by and large you know when you come in here and you um you know make the settings to all actual size um choose uh you know pdf uh choose paper source by pdf page size auto that should you know you should be in good shape to be able to print a document that way so that's pretty much it for how to print uh loan documents for a loan signing appointment i hope you found that useful don't forget to like subscribe to the channel and share this with a friend comment down below let me know if you have any questions or you know if you have any printing issues or you know some of the issues that you've encountered when printing documents for a loan signing so until next time peace [Music] so [Music] you
