Print spectator initial

hello everybody and welcome to another sort of pointless review if you've got here and you've basically searched for the terms in the title in the description and I guess this is what you want to see so it's going to be a little review about The Spectator magazine that the date and the actual contents the themes of the sorry decide a video NAFTA cough the themes of the eyeholes are not really important it's more about the sections and receiving it it's going to be the focus of this review now I live all over the world I've lived all over the world and I'm still moving around but I do have a spectator subscription you can get if you can get a free trial anywhere where you are anywhere in the world wherever you are you get four issues so it comes out every week every week it comes out and they'll send it free to you wherever you are in the world just make sure you end a subscription before the four weeks or up or you can just subscribe get the confirmation email and say straight away that you don't go beyond the free trial and they'll just happily send you those four issues for free the good thing is is that you'll be you'll have access to their website so you can read all the articles straight away because it does take time to get this magazine can take about here in Columbia where I am currently it takes about six to eight weeks to come but it comes alright and this is how it comes in a plastic bag but you get online access and with that you can read all the latest news and you can read everything basically just in the magazine and you can read it online get it on the tablet read on the desktop whatever I'll tell you a little trick at the end about the online subscription and so it comes in this plastic bag sealed watertight so you don't have to worry about a condition dude it's coming through it's raining or humid here like in Columbia from doubt my subscriber details but that's basically where your address will be they put a little advertising on it slowly further away so you can see what's going on here urgent priority mail AML first class and the advertisers of a magazine Apollo I'm yet to get other there a few issues of that but I'm not sure if I'll subscribe to that completely for a long time and then you've always got to cover like this it's always political in some respect so your postman is going to see this nothing here sort of non PC so you should be alright but it does sort of ask questions about political figures and so on and maybe finds them in a better or worse light than what you would like so yeah I've over now up already to blank out my details and so that's the leaf that delivery leaf one side is the address and then on the other side will be oh there you go free trial if you want to offer it to someone else there's a free trial you can also subscribe on this side and more advertising here sometimes they do advertise you can go for a longer subscription one pound for every four sorry one pound every issue that renews every every month so it's four pound a month and you get an issue for a pound each and it goes on for twelve weeks free months so you put this to one side now let's just take a look at the contents okay it's topical so whatever is going on with the day at the time it will be covered in a magazine you'll have spectators view here and then here will be day there's your contents there's at this week this mainly focuses on news and opinions and columns and such books and arts is great I get a lot of like good books from this section so really like I said it can take like sometimes eight weeks to come here that really only sort of hits this section and disappear I can read online anyway but this kind of stuff I enjoy getting this misc and it is timeless really so I can just you know get on get a cup of tea sit down and read a good book review and then I can download the book online if I want and read it there and then or watch the show whatever Netflix film or whatever podcast whatever they're pushing here in this section I can get it will go on to life there's something that I really like in life and then you've got things like crosswords and you've got chess and so on that's really quite entertaining so here we go this will just flick through these pages so you've got like opinions on the week you've got the diary which is what somebody has been up to with respect to the current affairs to the current affair or current affairs then you've got some you got some regular writers here like James Forsythe and you've got Charles Moore they they do sort of topical pieces his name says it's really sort of the magazine has got a nice sort of glossy texture to it is very durable sometimes the staples come out the more rough you are with the magazine without foodists but this is all in the news section so we'll just flick through this but they've got some good really good offers advertising it's not too imposing you just miss out the whole the whole page and they always give you like a nice little highlight of what's happening in the text a little excerpt there but little and they've got a good spectrum of views here as well they've got left writers right wing writers it's also and they do sort of argue their case very well so it's really good for your brain and your and your perceptions of the world so it sort of widens it very well I like her she does Leah no sir she won't show ever she does they do use Spectator talks like you see these things that they advertise down here if you're subscribed and so on you can go to these live events and such but don't worry about that this is all on there spectator YouTube channel and I'll put a link in the description look Douglas Murray one of my favorite thinkers at the moment I've read his book madness of crowds I think it is geez don't even know the title I will just flick through this is also a topical stuff still until we get to the arts and books sections so yeah and then let me just talk a little bit and then you got a letters page which was very so much linked to the previous issue can get some debates going in there back and forth perspectives on on issues and now we're in the book section so there's always some beautiful art you know to look at and you always put a little description there capturing of it gives you some context so Shakespeare divided America that's from James sharp here oh well so you've got like some great writers here and some great recommendations and they've got our podcast here I'm gonna tell you some tips right idea and let's just flick a little faster food is because I don't it to come up to you what we got here so any powers look I'll just give you a look I don't know if maybe this video will get pulled or something for showing copyright content but I'll give you some tips now at the end there's two tips that I can think of so there's a film review there or television he's the guy from The Hobbit advertising don't really care much about life now this is one of my favorite guys sake high life it sounds like a regular sort of column on what he's up to you in the week and he's crazy is great fun I love this guy I love you know liberals lefties they hate him but he's great fun and then of course all I like an upper-class guy middle class and you go like a middle-class days upper classes all about horses she's quite entertaining on me today look here yeah this is what I was telling you about try 12 weeks for just 12 pounds so every it comes out every week so it's one pound an issue and you subscribe they do these like little extra URL so that's the website from The Spectator and then they put a forward slash and then they'll put these little things into the like offers and so this one for 12 issues for 12 pound will be under this website or you can listen to respect hear podcast I'll put a link in in the description here you can listen to The Spectator podcast and they'll tell you like /i don't know summer or fall / winter or I don't know 12 issues or three issues or something like a free gift or something so listen to the to the podcast I'll try and put some in in the description but always listen to the podcast because they change in the office all the time you get pen get free book yes I'm free electronic like a wireless charger and some some office so I'll show you that I'll put that in description and you go yeah you regular bridge you got a wine section no like I can get wind at this easily in South America and then you've got my all-time famous favorite sorry favorite the famous chess puzzle love this section you'll see me on this all the time and I still got another tip comment so hold on crosswords and then you've got something regular at the back if you want to get your kid into reading The Spectator I like this guy Toby Young is great I like I like everyone in here whether they left or right and few section and then you go someone hear about the English language and crap correct grammar usage he always has a little Mon here and in the back is advertising and there's a little section just before I finish jeez now I will find it it's called the notes in and basically there's a section here no sin well this is not such an interesting subject but this notes in is great for kids so if you've got some kids around I don't know so at ten years old eleven twelve like pre teenager and after and also teenager they can join in with what you're reading and they can have a look at this no sin it's raised English is knowledgeable so that's my review of The Spectator now a little my last tip is if you subscribe online you can because because you'll get disliked as a trial offer but you can subscribe online you get access to all of their their back issues if you do that just by getting a free of P by getting the free trial you get access to the whole library of books going all the way back to 1828 books of magazines and you can if you get an app called pocket I'll just quickly show you the logo of it yeah poor kid if I show you whoopsie-daisy you can see it there geez there it is pocket right in the middle you get this app and you basically you go to their website and you can copy the article that you find on the spectator website you can copy it to pocket and it will share to your mobile device you can read it later on you can get it onto an e-reader so you can basically get all of these articles back from back issues from current issues anytime and add it to pocket and you can just read it on your e-reader later on a website or mobile device any time for free just by getting a free trial off and and it doesn't run out so if you cancel that trial or it runs out or whatever you can still access your pocket articles so just spend I don't know a morning going through their website and just pocket in all the articles that you like so there you have it that's the price that did it costs in various parts of the world US dollar seven seven dollars fifty that's quite pricey but yeah we'll leave it at that's my little take on The Spectator hope you liked it hope it was useful and like I said it wasn't really for people who already subscribed to or know about the magazine this is just for new folk so check the description click any suggested videos that you see from my channel and subscribe please because I've got more lease or mundane reviews coming up thank you
