welcome let me show you how cool this five subject inside tab lined notebook is and it's super easy to change the colors and the font add pages take away pages you're gonna die when you see how cool this is the first thing I want to mention is when you open a book the table of contents is I call that the front page and there will always be an odd number so pick up any book you're gonna notice that and then I labeled behind the front page so this is the front page and behind the front page so every page has a front and a back front back so as you start adding pages you only have two pages here you want to add them as a pair because every page has a front and a back let me show you really quick I haven't really talked about much here but this is the first subject I'm gonna click ctrl click I'm gonna right click copy right click paste and now I have two pages in that subject remember you have a front and a back and a front and a back so you actually have two pieces of paper but you have four places to write I hope that makes sense so if you want 20 in here you just keep copy paste copy paste copy paste until you have 20 remember if you want 20 pages or you want 20 pages to write on I'll leave that up to you having said that here we are this is the table of contents first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how to change the colors right here we're gonna go into design we're gonna go over here to variants colors and as I move through the different colors you're gonna notice that the images change colors based on the color customization or whatever you want to call it that I did and even the the breaks between the subjects those also change colors and they follow whatever the tab color is now you're probably wondering well hey Catherine what if I don't like those colors that's okay we're gonna go into colors we're gonna go all the way down here to custom colors and this is where you can start changing the colors so let's just let's go to more colors and let's say I want to read who okay and then I want maybe that color add it up and then more colors maybe I want a yellow yellow [Music] okay I'm just gonna do one more because I think you're getting the idea and then I'm gonna say save and we're gonna go back here colors and here's my custom color and it kind of changed one thing to note is that let me go into colors again let's go to our custom colors even though we picked red the images here are originally had a grayscale so it's not gonna be super red but it's gonna be reddish so you see how they all changed to kind of understand which one is which piece but I still think it's pretty cool the next thing we can do is change the font so I'm going to click here again font and let's do something okay let's do this one I'm going to click on here the first thing that I want to point out is let's go the first thing I want to point out is it looks like it didn't change but you have to go to another slide to make all of them change now to change the actual wording we have to go into slide master the reason for that is you don't want to have to keep going in to every page let's say I want date up here well then if I want that then I'd have to go here put a date put a date put a date like that but if we do it in the slide master it happens to all of those pages let me just show you what I'm talking about let's go to view master slide the first thing is we have table of contents I'm going to highlight it and I'm gonna go home you're gonna notice that the heading is a different font so these fonts right now are for body but if I change it to heading and then I go we can actually by the way change stuff in here slide master fonts and I start changing see what happened was I changed the I changed this to be the heading so now all the headings will have changed this would remember though isn't a heading but we can make it make it a heading so when I go into master slide fonts and I start changing it the first one you see is the heading and the second one is the body there you go so let's go up here oh they changed I know it's pretty neat and pretty crazy but let's say you don't want table of contents there just write whatever you like the other really neat thing is this can really be individualized for your students or whoever you're gonna give this to or print it so let's say the first class they have of the day is math so I'm gonna highlight it I'm gonna make it really big now the important thing is you only want to pick the heading or the body because if you pick something else when you go and change when you go and want to change all of them it's not gonna change so let me show you here I pick something that's not in the heading or the body okay when I go into the master slide and I'm gonna change my fonts you're gonna notice that this isn't going to change because it's not the heading or the body okay so if you really like that feature you need to make sure that when you change things it's either the heading your body I think I've explained that okay so here's math and then I'm gonna copy okay so this is the first subject so I'm just gonna delete the word subject right-click right-click paste and there we go oops this will happen that's okay and there you go the other really neat thing is maybe you want to put formulas on here this is the front page this is the back maybe you want to put multiplication tables or whatever you can really design it to whatever your students need or whatever your son or daughter needs it's really cool and then so this is the first subject first subject I have dividers between each subject you don't have to print these if you don't want to it's up to you and then here is the paper for the first subject once again we have the front page and then we have behind the front page so everything is in doubles when you want to start making pages the other thing you should know is the front page is an odd number and the back page is an even number I realize you probably don't get it so grab any book open the book when you look up the left side it's an even number the right side is an odd number so this is the right side page and then behind that page now these are really cool and let me just go back here if you create an actual five subject notebook so maybe you have 20 pages for each of these when you put it into a binder and I recommend a binder when you start thumbing through the pages it's gonna be very easy to see that all this is my math subject because then you're going to have a change and then the next is here which is hopefully you can see a different place I hope that makes sense now I did mention you have to do everything in pairs because when you hold a piece of paper you actually have two sides so one a piece of paper makes two pages if that makes sense the really really cool if there's a lot of cool things about this but you don't have to print up a hundred page notebook maybe you just want to print up a couple pages for each subject and then as the student needs more pages for that subject just come in here and print them it's really cool and I can show you how to do that here if you want to just print a certain page but you want to add pages in doubles so hopefully you can see I don't know if I'm explaining this very well but this is super cool so I'm a slide master let's print it you can do a couple things but my recommendation is to file save as and then you want to print it as a PDF okay so I have one sitting in there but I'm just gonna save it it's gonna ask me are you sure yep I'm pretty sure then we're gonna wait a couple of seconds as it's being made okay here it is in my PDF and I think you might be able to see it a little better what I'm talking about so front back so if you can think of putting this on the back of that that might help front back front back front back and so on when you print it you want to go to size you want it to go to the edge so you want to click actual size and what will happen is the little tab will come all the way out so when you look at it sideways you can kind of see where the color tabs are you can also stick a tab there it's up to you but if you only want to print certain pages we'll just go here to pages and let's say I just want two more of these pages so I'm gonna print five through six not eight six and then maybe I want a couple of them so just say I want three of those and it'll print it back to back and your tab will show up in the right space it's crazy so let's cancel that PDF so I've shown you how to add more pages I've shown you how to change the color and I realize some of you don't have a color printer for instance I don't have a color printer so let's go to design colors and we're just gonna go to the grayscale and there you go and the colors do change but very slightly but it's okay it still works oh you know what I just realized I forgot to tell you how to change the lines oh my goodness Catherine let's go into view slide master now this is an image but what we can do is I'm just gonna move this out of the way I'm going to insert text box and I'm just gonna shift and put my lines in so the lines there right now our images that's okay you can change it maybe you want it to go all the way to the outside no problem it's up to you maybe you want it to go all the way to the top so I can hold it down and just keep going going going going gone gone gone going going going going going until you have what you want I'm gonna bring this down a little bit so I'm gonna right click right click send back so it goes behind the tap if you want it in the front that's great that's fine but how do I change this looks like it's College rule so I want to change it so I'm going to highlight it I'm going to right click paragraph it's a single let's do one and a half lines so now it's even bigger right click paragraph let's see you want it even bigger okay so really doesn't matter if your student needs college-ruled which is really what this is or why drilled you can make it if you have pictures for instance maybe you have a grid that you want to put in here you just insert go to your pictures and insert the grid or insert maybe a doc red or whatever you want I know this is insane so I'm just going to do this oh I should probably show you something else interesting master I'm gonna leave this so master slide closed and you're gonna notice that since I put it in the master slide I don't have to go to every single one of those pages and change those pages automatically change the other thing I should point out there's so much to tell you oh my gosh the other thing I should point out is the gray areas do not print all right the gray areas do not print all right I think that's about all I'm good that you
