Made Hiring so Much Easier

Anna S

What do you like best?

Made our onboarding so much easier. New hires are able to send information and get in faster! It is so much easier to be able to send this to a new hire. Now we are able to send this to them and we can see who is coming in before and prepare for our day. Spend your time on training instead of filling W2 all day. Also cleared up so much room in our filing cabinets.

Print initial attestant

hello there Jose Rodriguez here in this video we're going to actually print that evaluation image you some in an earlier video remember this is a 40 megabyte TIFF file that is not edited you are not supposed to edit it it is composed of many types of images that are just perfect for testing the ability of the printer to be able to reproduce tonalities and this covers the gamut it even includes unreproducible or on printable colors this roll-up here will likely not print as fluorescent and as bright and supersaturated as you see here as well as these areas here the image is composed of a series of colors that are considered rather extreme the most important thing and people complain the most about not having the ability to produce prints that match the monitor as far as brightness goes so we have a ramp here from black all the way to white as well as a graduated ramp and then a series of squares from 2 to a value of 224 that's 0 to 4 and from 254 down to 243 so you're testing the ability to produce a graduated ramp and most importantly for it to be neutrally linear in other words you do not want a change in tonality it should be neutral all the way across that ramp and then this will indicate whether the printer is actually reproducing very very light squares and if they are indeed discernible to you by eye when you evaluate this print you must do it under very bright conditions there are special lights that are made specifically for viewing prints or daylight ok so let's go ahead and open up the print module in photoshop and I want you to notice that I have chosen for Photoshop to manage colors and in the list of profiles I have a custom profile that I created for my 38-hundred let's go into the printer settings and this is the most important thing you have to remember to check if you're going to allow Photoshop to manage color you have to turn off color adjustments on the printer driver normally you would see it here automatically and it will say Epson standard srgb you want to click on custom you want to click on color and choose no color adjustment here is your paper quality setting of course you can change that to your heart's content I always print high quality and then that's it basically so long as you have no color adjustment chosen the correct paper the size and the quality the type of feet that you want to use on your printer in other words where do you feed from I'm feeding from the sheet feeder which is on the top and okay and at this point you would just simply print now I'm going to go ahead and set it up for the Canon printer this time and when I say canon printer i mean one of the most popular current printers being use out there then you pro 100 and i'm gonna tell it photoshop to manage colors here I would choose pro lustre here we go alright I forgot to cover your rendering intent I always use relative and I always use black point compensation okay so I'm gonna go ahead and click on my print settings and this is the most important thing on Canon printers basically the way to turn off color management is pretty well hidden right here so what you do first and useless you're going to choose photo printing this is really for documents but it always defaults to that undo bar borderless unless you're gonna print borderless choose your printer paper high-quality paper size then you're gonna click on color intensity manual adjustment this is for you to perform manual adjustments for cyan magenta yellow brightness intensity in contrast we don't want to mess with that we're gonna let Photoshop handle that through an ICC profile so we're gonna click on matching and here we select none and that is how you turn off color management on a canon pair now I want you to take a quick look here notice when I click on match print colors it's actually soft proofing the image and you notice how these fluorescent colors here basically doll down why because they cannot be reproduced at all with normal inks it's just impossible they're there to provide a test that actually exceeds the ability of a printer and in fact most printers even the HDR type printers so that is basically a control print so we're gonna I never software by the way this is actually quite an exaggeration what you get in print is a lot brighter and a lot more saturated than when you see here so I'm just gonna go ahead and leave that off and I'm gonna click on print and that's it now we're gonna shift over to the print room and we're gonna video actual prints coming out of the printer and then I'm gonna go ahead and give you some close-ups of the actual prints and you could you be the judge alright and they will not be too dark by the way and that's really what we're trying to achieve here so say you're on the print room okay I mean the printing room now in front of my 3800 one of my two 3800 and I just sent that standard image to my printer using the settings that I previously described I will go over those again basically I told Photoshop to manage color and I turned off color management inside the Epson 3800 printer driver I used a custom made ICC profile for the premium lustre paper that I am using even though I could have used absence lustre paper ICC profile like what I had I made my own just to tweak it even more and now you're gonna see the results real time test a friend emerges I'll go ahead and zoom in as the print starts to come out and you will see the results remember what we're looking for here is neutral color reproduction and correct tonality as far as all of the hues that that particular original image contained and remember that we will not be able to reproduce some of those very strong outer gamma saturated colors but it will reproduce them accurately as far as the actual hue had they not been that saturated to begin with let's go ahead and zoom in as you can see this is not a dark print is it it is just the way I expected it to be I'm going to go ahead and zoom in to the black to white ramp you can see that it is it is linearly accurate in other words it is does not change you from the darkest through the middle tones to the brightest tones it remains neutral and that's the most important thing if you want to be able to print neutral black and white images let's take a look at the central black and white image I just suggested my exposure it was a little bit too bright so now you can see it as I am seeing it now notice how neutral that black and white image is now we'll go ahead and pan through the various color chips you can see the faces of those little babies the skin tones are natural they are perfectly rendered they're not at all pink or yellowish or greenish they are the way they should be go ahead and look at the color graduated patches remember those very saturated colors notice the ramp if I had a better set of lights to shoot this under you would notice immediately that you can indeed tell the difference between this patch and the totally black or zero-zero-zero patch and you can see the last patch before white that just tells me that I am getting a as full a dynamic range as I can possibly expect from this printer remember the lava laura's the Blues perfectly rendered the yellows of the sunset again perfectly rendered the strawberries are as they should be the shot of the computer and the calculator beautifully done it is in these very very bright areas that a printer will either succeed or fail very saturated areas areas of bright yellows greens and blues is where printers tend to fail sometimes especially that blues and violets so it depends on how many color inks you have whether you'll be able to properly render blues and violets so again if you just follow the steps that I indicated in the first part of this video you should be able to also achieve this the same type quality now I'm gonna go ahead and shift the camera over to the Canon Pro 100 and we'll do the same thing okay I haven't really used my can of bro 100 for a few days so it's gonna probably do a short cleaning cycle this is one of the prices you have to pay when you don't use your printer sufficiently frequently enough I should say and as you all may know Canon printers are very forgiving as far as clogs go even though I am using third-party inks and in this particular demonstration I'm using the new inks that are being sold for the pro 100 from precision colors out of Canada I have a custom profile as well for this particular ink set any time you go up to a third-party ink choice for your printer you really must create a specific custom ICC profiles for that particular ink set you can't expect it to match om it would just simply will not happen unless the manufacturer by some method is able to match the original characteristics of the manufacturer inks but it's seldom ever happens alright so that was it now is fitting the paper we should see it emerging within the next few minutes by the way I use OEM inks on my Epson 3800 how can I afford to do that well if you have looked at my youtube channel you will notice that I have some videos basically demonstrating how I have modified or original cards so that I can refill them and then I buy large format original Epson inks for printers that use the k3 ultra chrome inks and then I use those I extract those things and then refill my original carts that are now modified for refilling now of course you could do that with with good-quality refillable cards as well so it's not necessary to do the modification as I have done and there you go you see the prints coming up and there we go and as I can see right off the bat it is excellent my black and white is neutral my strawberries are beautiful the yellows of the foliage are perfect the sunset equally stunning the great ramp is neutral throughout perfectly linear the baby's skin very nice okay and here is the one I just bread off with the cannon and here is the one I just print it with the Epson and as you can see they're practically the same they're never going to match do not ever believe that you know just because you follow a specific and very accurate color management even with a profile printers will differ from each other slightly but they will basically match and as long as you have a neutral print and your colors are correctly rendered you're good to go okay so that's it I hope you enjoyed this video please remember to comment if you have any questions whatsoever and please subscribe as I really need your support thank you so much and until the next video happy printing everyone bye bye
