Send person us state

hello I'm shakin welcome back so the second channel videos so I've been living in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland my entire life I'm so British in fact that I literally had fish and chips just before recording I was craving it a week okay but because of that you might find it interesting to know my opinions on the United States of America the US is one of those countries that is so I guess internationally famous and well regarded though even these subdivisions of the country are pretty well known in their own right and therefore if you live in the US and you might not know much about the rest of the world you might be curious about what people from outside your country know about each of the individual states there's 50 of them or so the flag will lead you to believe and I wanted to talk about each of those 50 states in the detail that I knew about both before I really knew too much about the US and then after I have known a bit more after having been so many times I've done a lot of business of the US over my teenage years etc etc basically a lot of fur you know things in my life revolve around the u.s. even though I'm British so what do I know about each of the states let's start going left to right with Washington shall we so Washington we're gonna start with because it's top left and that seems logical to me I mean top left but not as top left as Alaska but Washington is a really interesting state because even though it's famous for Seattle and therefore you know like there's the Starbucks and there's the Amazon connection the thing that Washington is most famous for in my head is the fact that it's super confusing because the capital of your country is called Washington and so is a state on literally the geographic opposite side of the country so yeah what's the deal with that very confusing especially when booking flights because the city is called Washington it's DC sometimes but even Google Maps just says Washington over here it can be real confusing as to which Washington you're talking about especially given their pretty equal levels of prominence because again Washington might be the capital but the capital isn't so important outside of politics in the US whereas Washington the state is actually quite important when it comes to the Starbucks is in the Amazons and you know the big cities and Microsoft is headquartered there is another big example so yeah Washington and Washington is the big confusion that most people get lost with here but I happen to know that Washington State is not the first state they try to name after a president and no even the first state they tried named Washington so yeah and the reason that they felt it was okay was because you know turn DC was often called you know Columbia at the time more than it was called Washington so boom now you know cuz it was named after Christopher Columbus although that guy's pulling out paper let's see if the same happens to George Washington one day we'll see so next up here if we're going left to right we've got Idaho at least the top part Idaho but go of it okay Idaho is one of those states that is very very deep populated and not very well known outside the US I would say like if you were to ask a bunch of strangers you name a bunch of states they might get 3040 but they're never gonna get Idaho for the most part unless they have some direct connection so yeah Idaho is very mountainous and I believe there's probably a lot of snow as a result that it borders Canada and even now you're not this stuff I know about America I know Boise is a pretty big Airport is it Boise fools maybe it's just that there's a place called Boise and there's a lot of flights that go there and that is about all I've ever seen about Idaho even having known a fair amount about the country but Montana on the other hand even though it's a similar enough size and similar important when it comes to the big electoral map switch fun fact this is one of the ways a lot of people do know American states I think Montana is a fault on that map fact checkmate as you can see but yeah you can it's one of those states that's very depopulated but a little more than the minimum to get the free which is the minimum in the u.s. system so what do I know about Montana then besides the fact that it's got a big city called Missoula and also it was the set off but there it isn't there's Missoula and also it is the setting of the far cry 4 a 5 the newest poker game as of right now I think besides those facts I think it's pretty much nothing again it's one of those states that's very big geographically but isn't very big in terms of population and therefore isn't very big in significance because it's mostly one of the interior states that isn't so widely known outside the United States and that's gonna lead us into North Dakota and you know the thing about the Dakotas is they're both another couple of examples of very deep populated states that aren't known for too much in the case of North Dakota I know that there's Fargo the movie maybe or the there's some amounts of the Fargo TV series this set hit and that's kind of its biggest thing and then the Dakotas between them have a very very very high German ancestor I think it's some stuff oil and workers it's a it's a weird fact that there happens to be the highest concentration of Germans in the Dakotas and I also happen to note that Dakotas were both made States at the same time in such a way that we don't know which state entered the Union first because legally one state had to enter a few seconds before the other but we don't know which one also since we talked about South Dakota anyway I mean it's again it's not like that particularly if they were one big state called Dakota I don't think it'd be too famous and when you separate the Dakotas the thing that makes them the most famous is that they split into north and south and that's a weird thing when it comes to States maybe so yes after Kota has Sioux Falls has Rapid City cities that you might have heard off on the seed you know like very low down on the tier list of American cities in terms of how famous they are and also it has somewhere in the state the big money when everyone goes to the four presidents from the movies which name I forget the the big president face thing in the mountain that is found in South Dakota where incidentally I have to imagine one of the four faces is George Washington also fun fact about that while we're talking about it anyway those faces were meant to be full statues but they ran out of money I believe is the story again this is about my impressions you don't need facts today although hopefully I can give you some anyway so yeah next up here we've got Minnesota or Minnesota I can't do a proper Minnesotan accent but Minnesota is famous not just for having funny accents although that's one the greatest things Minneapolis is actually a pretty big city and it's interesting because Minneapolis st. Paul are called the Twin Cities and they're at the level where when you refer to the Twin Cities you'd know you're referring to this area right here so yeah Minnesota is like the biggest you know like most well-known state in this kind of area of like the North you know middle Erick America it's actually kind of big I would say by itself Minneapolis is a fairly significant city by itself and then also there's the Fargo Connection the TV series which fun fact it says at the stop every episode this was a true story and you're like ooh Duluth really did have some stuff it's all lies they made that up and they put that there to convince you was true I think that's the biggest that's why I don't watch Fargo it's all a lie and I feel ripped off even today but they it was filmed in Minnesota and Minnesota one of those states that is so I would say I mean it's got height Swedish heritage and stuff but it feels almost like not a US state having visited there but out from out from the outside perspective it's just like oh yeah there's a funny place where people have funny accents it's very very very cold and also there's some big cities that are kind of famous also I want to say Marshall from How I Met Your Mother is from there so another little point of reference next up we've got Wisconsin I've heard Wisconsin is famous for its cheese to me parsley it's never been famous for anything I know the very popular football team is from there the Green Bay Packers if I had to guess they're from this place here called the Green Bay the Packers is a famous thing although it sounds like you know they pack fudge not they pack the leaderboards in simple sports competition I'm gonna guess American football but yeah most constant is another very cold state in my head and I want to say Paul Ryan is from there so that's what I know about Wisconsin so also Milwaukee is that big city very very very big city and I have an American friend from there although I've I guess he can't be that close to a friend if I don't know too much about anything to do with him however next up we've got Michigan Michigan's famous for a couple of reasons one is the fact that it's the weird state that's cut in two halves like it doesn't really geographically make too much sense and second of all it's famous for Detroit the whole Detroit actually the Flint thing as well Flint and Detroit are the two big things that get international news coverage and it really makes it paints a pretty grim picture of not just these areas and the ones around them but really if the whole state every time I see I've got it like because I'm doubt that Detroit is a big hub for Delta I wanna say so if you're flying Delta or Virgin Atlantic Current and an alliance airline one of those two you'll have a flight going through Detroit and it's like do I wanna go through the tree is that safe it feels like the perception of the Troy even I'm sure this can't be true is off like a third world city that happens to be in the world's you know largest economy so yeah Detroit is really overshadowing the rest of the state I mean it's closer to Canada than it is to the rest of Michigan let alone the rest of America also Flint you know something about the water crisis that even right now hasn't been properly resolved right I know these sorts of things make you think vaguely third world and I'm sure Michigan has a lot of other wonderful things in there again I've met in personal Oh people from Grand Rapids I want to say they're just like oh yeah you know we try not to think about Detroit and maybe that's the attitude everyone should have towards it however if anyone's heard of Michigan sadly it will be for Detroit you know sorry if you're a Michigan ER but you Mitch you're gonna believe you Mitch you're not gonna believe that you state is famous for your one city sadly next up here we've got New York so New York is not very well known state I mean I can't name a single city in it actually now that I think about it like New York any cities I don't think I've heard of any of these no so yet New York is obviously way more famous as a city than as a state outside of America most people would know that it's New York New York the city is so nice they named it twice or something along those lines so yeah New York the city is obviously the most important part of this whole thing and most people probably wouldn't know that New York is such a ridiculously oversized state because it expands all the way to where hits water up there it's a fun consequence of the way that states got to draw their borders in the very beginning and New York got all of this area so yeah New York is obviously famous for New York the city long island is famous Staten Island is famous the Bronx is famous all of these areas around here about the city itself a famous but leaving the city behind because I could talk about things that are famous to map New York City all day but today's video is not about that so instead I'll say there's this vague concept of upstate New York which is very different to downstate New York what does that really mean isn't so clearly to find out there I guess anything that's not New York City or Long Island is upstate in that way um so yeah Buffalo is famous for buffalo sauce and also for being near Niagara Falls like maybe the bills are from there which is where OJ Simpson is played I get all of that right again this is these are my feelings these aren't facts well well fact check on-screen of course but yeah that's a Niagara Falls being in New York is kind of a thing that's kind of famous and also the rest of it is just a lot of places where very few people live in general is my impression obviously there's like hundreds of thousands it's just compared to the giant cities of New York and Buffalo I can't imagine it's too high I don't think Buffalo is even a big city I think it's like a medium city and then there's the mare can bigger city just over here in fact the biggest in North America outside of Mexico City I'd guess so yeah next up after New York we're gonna go east some more to Vermont what is Vermont famous for and honestly Vermont is famous for Ben and Jerry's and I don't think most people even know that like Burlington is where Ben and Jerry's is headquartered and also Bernie Sanders if I'm not mistaken is a Vermont senator although he's not a Democratic senator Vermont he is an independent and yeah he's the most famous fing to connect with a lot in a very long time that isn't my scream it's a very very very very deep populated state that I want to say is famous in the US for good skiing and a lot of people are like oh yeah we go skiing in Vermont but otherwise it's like what is what is this state ID it's again it's not widely known I'd love to know more about it but I don't that's where all the states I don't know too much about it's like one day I'll learn more that day is not today kind of like New Hampshire so my first channel editor Cameron legendary chaser he is from New Hampshire and even then I don't know too much about the state beyond the kind of I guess politics cycle because it is the second state the third state to ever come up so if you want to win votes in a state you need to win votes in New Hampshire if you want to be your candidate for president because America does the weird primary system and the primaries are really important specifically in Iowa and in New Hampshire so yeah New Hampshire is very famous for that there isn't really anything else that's particularly New Hampshire II about it and even I this is a fun fact I want to say Hampshire in the UK is like not too much less depopulated in the state it's not a very big important state but it's in New England and that's kind of interesting next up we've got Maine hair Maine is the Maine State for lobsters I hear but you know Maine is mostly famous for lobsters and also there's a city called Portland Maine and it's like their biggest city but also Portland Oregon is their biggest city or is it Portland yeah it's Portland Oregon's their biggest city and it's like which Portland do you mean ha ha wait send something to the other side of the country by accident yeah outside of that I know Maine separated from Massachusetts and it proved it's this really interesting point that seems to be true of every country when they have like a place that is you know separated by decent of space because here okay here's man as you can see here's Massachusetts you might not notice this but they're separated by this amount and at one point they were the same state but pretty much every state that has this concept of like non-geographic continuity where there's like a separation of another territory between them ends up splitting in the end I guess Pakistan and East Pakistan or Bangladesh as it's known might be another example but yeah geographic continuity is important and that's a thing worth mentioning also since we're on Massachusetts anyway let's mention that Massachusetts is a state you don't at least to me I didn't think was very important but then you learn oh yeah Boston's there also Cambridge which is really a part Boston but also not because of how American cities work the Cambridge in America is also where a lot of their famous cities are from extremist universities are based in Cambridge in the UK obviously has Cambridge University but there is a Harvard University and there's also MHC Massachusetts Institute for technology and yeah basically MIT is more famous than Massachusetts I would say to non Americans or at least to this non-american fun fact I am NOT from the United States so let's let's do another sweep across let's go from I guess west to east now so we'll start with rhode island the smallest state by land area i want to say it might be second to delaware actually but it's the smallest state if i'm not mistaken and it's really only famous for Family Guy Providence Rhode Island right is where family geyser and there's Pawtucket the Pawtucket brewery right am I wrong about that but yet Rhode Island is famous for being the surf family guy which is kind of odd also there's a movie I watched once where there's a beauty contest and she's from Rhode Island that is a phrase I've heard once otherwise no yeah I don't I can't tell you anything about Rhode Island besides it's not even an island so what's that about America so yes small estate though that's interesting we've got Connecticut over here which I hate like I mean like I know the British people away twice for this but I learned about Connecticut because of a business thing online like one of the business people I dealt with was from connect to cut as I said it in my head because I only have a read it and I heard about Connecticut on TV shows but it took me forever to realize it was the place and they did the British thing where they're just like what if we skip half the letters in the word and yet connect occur is Connecticut fun fact now you know Connecticut is a place that is mostly pretty well known because it is like it's I mean it's mostly I would say like I'm a suburb of the New York City area there is a transit system the or it's like there's a the some form of train system that takes you from New York into Connecticut and if you're wealthy that's mostly what you do there's a few movies the commuter there's a few movies that are set along that basic premise and it comes up in TV shows all the time you know you can live in upstate New York or you can live in not New York and it's more convenient to commute to New York weird thing about States and like New York is such a big city that it kind of breaks the concept of states cuz it's right on the edge if like there's two states right next to it there's New York but then there's also New Jersey in this Connecticut and yeah Connecticut's kind of famous for that also it there's a place called New London that I happen to know about just because there is a train that goes from Boston to New York and it goes all the way down to DC as well it's the only high-speed train in America that's worth using and it's not even high-speed but it stops in New London and I was like this is a weird place to me to wake up I'm gonna go back to sleep so yeah now you know my experience of Connecticut by the way I should mention just in case you're curious like where have you been in the United States like at here is my list of states that I have been to or my picture of states have been to now you know so yeah I've never I've never gone off the train in Connecticut or Rhode Island sadly um but yeah moving on next note from Connecticut let's go to Pennsylvania although Jersey first you could argue you could argue New Jersey Spurs but Pennsylvania comes first anyway because it's big people know Pennsylvania Philadelphia is obviously quite famous because West Philadelphia is where Will Smith was born and raised actually you might think that his character was there but apparently Will Smith himself is from West Philadelphia he was in fact born and raised and the playground might have been where he spent most of his days these are facts that are unconfirmed right now but we're gonna get right on them but no yes so Philadelphia is the big city in Pennsylvania even lot borders New Jersey it's the whole American thing where cities and states don't learn up perfectly which I think interesting so cuz even though they claim to be kind of sovereign they have to share sovereignty of their largest assets with their neighboring states kind of like how New Jersey exists so yeah Pennsylvania's famous for that also the office is set in Scranton Pennsylvania the sixth largest city or something like that so yes Scranton is a famous city also and Pennsylvania is kind of famous of being really big also Pittsburgh I don't know why it's famous to me I think it's famous for being a bad or like an air city like it's really inland it's East Coast but it's not really East Coast it's really far away from everything else than East Coast and I'm sure it would be lovely but I've never been and I don't know if I ever will be so there's Pittsburgh and there's Pennsylvania mostly famous for yeah Philadelphia mostly famous for TV stuff I guess also it's always sunny in philadelphia is a phrase I have heard CA Pennsylvania has a over representation in famous TV shows I'd say speaking of famous TV shows you know what New Jersey is famous for it is famous for one not being as good as the og Jersey that's right your boy the Jersey Island and the Channel Islands right over here there we go Jersey this is the real Jersey one of the only places in the UK to be invaded during World War two but anyway so let's talk about New Jersey shall we so it's famous because it's sure has a TV program called the Jersey Shore you know that Jersey Shore I bet you do also in every TV show it comes up that New Jersey smells right and that is slightly true because of the waste processing they do just across the river a lot of parts a lot of people who kind of live in New York live in New Jersey like seriously you can live this close to New York and not be in New York it so it's a funny little fact also robbed interesting to me is the fact that Atlantic City which is again comes up in TV shows and whatnot is the kind of like second gambling capital off to Las Vegas and it is in New Jersey which is intriguing to me maybe just me maybe not who knows for sure but that is Atlantic City otherwise Jersey doesn't really have like its own big cities and isn't really famous for too much beyond like I want to say it has some of the highest sales tax in America it's the most densely second most densely populated state in the United States and yeah just in general a lot of people live in a very small space a lot of them have that New York connection and then there's like a North and South Jersey thing where the South Jersey don't really have it so much and they just happen to share a state also chris Christie the very large man of the bridge problems is from New Jersey oh and here's okay this is a fact I learned just because I have a very close friend who lives in New Jersey you know this did hair a couple of times so to enter New Jersey is free to leave New Jersey they charge tolls because obviously it makes more sense than charging both ways because you know traffic flow across the the famous bridge the Ben Franklin Bridge for example but every single exit in New Jersey has a charge attached but it's free to enter and I love that as a concept it's just like well you know it's free to come in but you better believe that we're gonna charge you when you want to leave and yeah they have high taxes and in general I like the goes on the highest sales tax in the country and because it's statewide sales tax and just in general New Jersey is a place that's my explanation of it my positive praise I can give next up we've got Ohio over here which is fun fact the way you say hello in like hi good morning in Japanese Ohio but it's also an American state by here so yeah Ohio is mostly famous for being a swing state in American elections like most people think oh yeah you win Florida you win the thing realistically winning Ohio is just as important it's just they both tend to swing the same way because their swing states and you know you need to pick up those in-between voters because even though they might seem like you know Florida seems like it traditionally would lean blue and Ohio seems like a very red state the truth is they're very balanced demographics in this case there's a lot of cities in Ohio so there's that perfect balance of trying to get you know people that would swing one way to the other way which is why to win an election you don't matter if you live in Texas or if you live in California or New York State or any of these places we've listened so far you matter we live in Ohio a lot more which is a fun fact so you live in Ohio you matter asterix to politicians and not to British people sadly so next up we've got Indiana so Indiana is ooh parks and recreations is in a little village called Pawnee and Indianapolis is a big race and Gary Indiana is famous of being horrific Lee awful it's right on the border of like Chicago and it's like one of those towns that was really thriving on industrialization but fun fact industrialization or at least the factory side of it the secondary goods market is wildly declining so Gary's are pretty really depressing place is what I have heard not that I've been or intend to go also if I'm not mistaken it's the birthplace of Michael Jackson so birthplace of wait Michael Jackson it's that Michael actions place of birth was actually in Gary Indiana and I believe his childhood would have pretty lined up with that fool Gary Indiana so yeah oh it's a museum apparently huh wait one sec let's let's look at Michael Jackson's place of birth so this right here see as you can see it's a very very good place that has a lot of funding and it's doing very well this is the sign of a place that definitely isn't going for its own miniature depression of some form but yeah this is where Michael Jackson was born and also I find this interesting if you look around the area in google.maps look how many churches there is like new Mount Olive Baptist Church there's the First Baptist Church the pilgrim backed of Church that there's a lot of Baptists in this area I've worked out from their church consumption per capita and yet Gary Indiana is a famously it's a famous example of like a dying town and Indiana I want to say is one of the few states that is leaking population like people are leaving it every single year which is against the trend on population growth in the US as well fun fact I only care about that because it's distance though most people just know it's like a it's like India but like Anna two-cent except we've got Illinois Illinois is most famous for Chicago like realistically speaking you sell you tell someone Illinois they can be like question mark you say the Chicago State they were like oh yeah I know Illinois I knew a girl I've dated someone from Chicago well not from Chicago from the Illinois air at one point which is actually wait you can see in my map oh now it makes sense why these two states are filled in so yeah basically besides those well fun facts of you Illinois is a very big state that is very blue but actually isn't very blue it just happens to have a very very very very very blue city that is the third largest in the United States of America and then yeah also it's famous for gun crime there's free people that shoot each other every day in Chicago it's wild that's a lot of people dying to gun violence it's mostly gang of gang low so you're mostly safe like visit Chicago it's a nice City just don't go to the south side as it's called because the old chances are being shot significantly increase also the other famous thing about this area to me is the fact that it is like a ceaseless the shakes Chicago that's the famous area for the whole thing this lake right here is huge Lake Michigan named after Michigan not after Illinois is absolutely huge and like I think it's the reason why Chicago is so ridiculously temperature variance maybe that sounds correct but yeah Chicago is famous I could talk about the city more and be like oh yeah you know the loop which is what the center of their things called I want to say there's a watchdog game based here and also like the way I can show on a map just in case you're not from the United States and you're watching this this look like little pillars on the side of the road this is like weirdly iconic from like video games like burnout maybe but yeah basically this is a weirdly iconic kind of structure and the fact at the L as a whole it's like one of the more famous public transport things in the world so fun fact now you know my thoughts on Illinois what are my thoughts on Iowa it's the farming place the matters because they put in their state constitution it's definitely a law if noise the Constitution they have to have the first primaries of every election if another state moves their primary date before theirs they just leapfrog them over and over again so both states hold their first primary care meaning Iowa wields pretty much no actually it is a swing state so I have some resolve the election but mostly I was important because if you can't win in Iowa you get a the opposite the head start like a bottom behind in a yeah that's the office of a head start right there yet like I have the opposite that for the entire election so that sucked also farmers also Des Moines is a big city and yep I mentioned farmers yet cuz that's what I know about the area it's very square-wave you look everything's square and there's a lot of lot of lot of farmland there so next up we've got Nebraska so Nebraska is where Warren Buffett's from and Lincoln is a big city and so as Omaha the capital maybe you can't be the capital it's just the biggest city so Omaha's captain guessing link SR Omaha's the biggest city Lincoln is probably there for the capsule and Warren Buffett's from here and not too much house it's one of those states you kind of name when you're like oh yeah so states that don't mean anything in exist in the middle of America literally Nebraska right like Nebraska to me is what I would assume the middle of the United States is and that's where mostly comes play speaking of in unimportant states we've got Wyoming next Wyoming is the least populated u.s. state there's like just over half a million people living there and there is a funny problem with Wyoming because it breaks the again the the way every state calculates it's a number of House members and but there's how the president race works and because of that Wyoming is over represented in both the House of Representatives but also in the presidential election vote meaning your vote theoretically matters like three times more in Wyoming than in like Texas or California or New York and yeah isn't that cool isn't that a great system you guys use for president I think some Americans think it is so I won't attack it anymore except for the rest this video so yeah Wyoming a very very very deep populated state mostly known for causing weird abnormalities with the way presidential elections work and also known for Yellowstone which could kill us all one day so that's nice we've got Utah over here I guess we're gonna go head down here we've got Utah which is famous for Mormons and there is a city which is made on a Salt Lake the Great Salt Lake apparently yeah outside of that Utah's famous for like being pretty strict because it's so religious so I know you can't get beer above like 3.7% for example in most of the state and yet it's a state that is it's like a religious state it's like a state that whatever the majority of like a different religion to the rest of America very strange stuff and also they had the strongest like third party candidate for a while in the 2016 election because they're religious but not Trump religious or something along those lines next up Nevada or as everyone from the west coast will call it Nevada I'm from Nevada and that's what I'm talking about today with my very convincing American accent I hope you will enjoy that so yeah Nevada famous for Las Vegas and Las Vegas is not a city city it's like I know Plus Vegas is a city but it doesn't include the Las Vegas Strip which is what most people know as Las Vegas the Las Vegas Strip is in the very much not a City area of Paradise which is also where the airport is and the reason behind that is kind of interesting to me because they want to live in a place with basically no laws to keep things simple I guess to explain that one so yeah Las Vegas is the most famous and no it's like it's like the famous city you go to an America for like glitz and glamour and makes your money and stuff like if America is the place that's built around the concept of let's earn some money this is the place of like you know why do you earn the money so you can go I'm gonna show you right here it's so you can go somewhere along here and you can see all the lights and stuff and be like wow yeah sure is Vegas right here and at night everything's neon lit and what is Las Vegas famous for gambling what is what else because Nevada legalized gambling way before the rest of the country also prostitution is legal in Nevada but not the other 49 states so fun fact you can if you want to go to Nevada and gamble and then use your gambling winnings to buy yourself a prostitute isn't that nice so yeah it's actually illegal in Las Vegas the city and there's a few of a wave things like Nevada is a very liberal state in that way because it kind of it kind of didn't exist and kind of needed to give itself a reason to exist so right on the border of California what coincidentally happens to be the most populated state that's where they put it but before we go to California Oregon famous for the Oregon Trail also it's very gay I want to say well Portland is very LGBT to be more correct of that one and yeah the Oregon Trail there's a very very famous metropolitan area in the form of Portland that I kind of want to go to just oh I don't see what that means you know even and yeah I my first ever friend I made on chip was in Oregon I think as in Eugene hope I didn't dachshund hope you don't know my first Gucci friend was so um yeah basically we've got California necks so California is the individual most famous state in America it is the state which is it has two things which make it so internationally famous one is the movie industry you know Los Angeles second biggest city in America very you know la Hollywood all these things very very very very very widely known every single movie that anyone watches anywhere like no matter which country you're in if it's not America ninety percent of your movies are going to be American ten percent are gonna be local maybe if you've got a wildly different language like in Russia and China it might be like 50/50 but American movies one of the things which give America so much of a culture you know share to the rest of the world and help make the world not hate America I would say so yeah movies and the LA kind of any anything entertainment probably happens in Los Angeles what's the other side of entertainment the internet anything internet happens in the Bay Area we simplify it to San Francisco I would say like most Bruno San Francisco most people don't know San Jose and most people only know Mountain View because it says it at the bottom of every gmail email like Oh Google is headquartered in Mountain View so yeah Mountain View all of this area again the whole Bay Area is where everything IT related Silicon Valley is roughly here that's where all the stuff is made there's even if I'm not mistaken an Intel Intel set up a museum and yeah this is one of the areas which is famous for all of that stuff San Francisco is very very very famous of its own right like even though it's not even one of the 10 biggest cities in America it might be like April 9th or something it's not very big city on the grand scheme of things in that way but in terms of the culture the San Francisco like a lot of movies are based there but also the Golden Gate Bridge it's famous right Alcatraz Island very famous got a third channel video vaguely related to Alcatraz coming up probably in the past by the time I upload this so um yeah we're like because I'm heading to San Fran's discovery ETSU nationally but um fun facts about me now you know my travel plans but yeah California is very very very famous outside of the US bought again both those things everything tech related you use from here everything entertain related is from here and because entertainment is a growing phenomenon in the West because we have a lot more free time and a lot easier ways to access it look here's my phone look this isn't just my only phone here's my other phone look here's my third phone have I mentioned I'm recording this on a device which has four screens by the way pick up this screen and show it to you there's a screen here okay I unplugged it to do all of these technology devices that we have around us guess what they're all coming in some way from either indirectly from California like the design or something like that or they're using entertainment which you get from the other side of California California is the biggest state in America by population and really I think it's the fifth or sixth Lodge to come in the world just by its state it's a push by itself it is a huge thing and it's also famously hated within America because one it's very very very blue leaning right to it has the most electoral votes for president something like one-tenth a little more than 1/10 actually off all the votes go to California by itself and they have been blue since like 92 or something and then also it's famous because of the fact I mean actually this there's a lot of Billy at there's a billion things we can mention here such a big state such a big thing like that but I know it's hated inside America because it's like commie phony or something like that but one of the things you've got to realize is even if you don't like how California runs itself and it doesn't run itself very well I would definitely agree with you on that one like it sir it's one of those states that's so prosperous then it doesn't need to be smart about how it handles that prosper in a lot of ways I would argue especially when you look at places like LA and San Francisco but yeah California was an independent country at one point before joining America and that's why it's so big it definitely shouldn't be one giant state like if it was if it was you know I think if they were splints to states like North and South California they would both be very famous but California is just like almost as big a fan icon as you know all of America itself like if there's two things anyone knows about America it's New York and it's California those are just the two big places and yeah fun fact now you know the everyone knows about California you say California everyone it's just it's just in the knowledge you know especially specially if you could then have to clarify like la Hollywood someone will get all of those things eventually because it's that level of in the zeitgeist or whatever off the world especially off the UK where I'm from have I mentioned that have I used that for views in the title I bet I haven't might they have so next up we've got Arizona Arizona is famously the Grand Canyon State so this is where the Grand Canyon's at also when I was like 13 like someone I spoke to on the internet was from Phoenix Arizona and I was like huh that's a fun name for a city I like to learn it's the fifth biggest city in the United States and it's one of those cities where it's mandated to have air conditioning because the in the summer it can get like 46 47 48 it's a ridiculously hot city and yeah now you know there is Phoenix Arizona the only big settlement in Arizona like the huge one and yes they have the Grand Canyon they are Phoenix realistically beyond that not too much but I mean they've got like some Native American reserves and that's kind of cool and also the Grand Canyon really cool I went recently have I mentioned that bet I haven't so yeah next up we've got New Mexico New Mexico is not as good as Old Mexico you know New Mexico's one of those states that it came up in Breaking Bad and Bojack horseman and yeah besides that Albuquerque is a song by Weird Al all right New Mexico's not very famous or populated state and it's also very confusingly named New Mexico so not gonna give you any points in New Mexico Colorado though is quite famous again South Park but also like Colorado is like the ski place but also it's where they legalized recreational marijuana as Americans call it first or weed or you know I guess cannabis as we call it so cannabis was legalized in this area first Denver is a pretty big city Denver Colorado and in general I would say Colorado is quite famous it's very educated I want to say and it's one of the few areas I've noticed having visited it was like wait you can check my map if you don't believe I mean not that this map has any more fantasy to it but yeah Colorado's one the first things they visited and also at Denver was one the first cities that listed one it's cool as heck that like it's a city that high up in the mountains it's called like the thousand mile high city or something like that a thousand the Mile High City feels a thousand miles high there'd be a lot more concerns so some people get I'll shoot sickness weather well there there isn't that fun and yet there's a few other important cities and then in a Colorado and it's a very interesting state as a whole I think it's cool that it's snowy and I love I love Colorado if I had to live in an American state that wasn't on the coasts I think Colorado is the easy pick oh not there no one's ever gonna force you like you have to move to America also can't be the coasts because all the true reasons but if they did Colorado probably be that one to me next up we've got Kansas so Kansas is not famous for much I wouldn't say Kansas is it gets like a reputation for being a self state also it's the geographic midpoint of the lower 48 states I want to say and Kansas City is a big city here also Wichita Kansas that sounds like a famous place but yeah that's that's my understanding of Kansas next up we've got Missouri so Missouri as I understand it is one of those weird states that's right in between the South Region and the Midwest region so it has a reputation for racism also the Ferguson riots if you know Ferguson guess where that is it's Missouri so yeah this is this is Ferguson I hear there were riots there that sounds like a problem a st. Louis is a big city the arch is famously like the point of like West East expansion so like I know this is this is the kind of like Eastern the US and this is all the West counter-intuitively in that way and yet Missouri that's a state with a couple of big cities neither wit shot and both of which are shared with other states next up if we're going from Missouri we're gonna talk about Kentucky you know there's one thing Kentucky's famous for do I need to say it I don't need to say it so yeah next up here we've got West Virginia Mountain Mama take me home country roads so West Virginia spit split from East Virginia something something Civil War now it's very cold based and therefore very red even though Virginia is if I'm not mistaken very blue Virginia is a state which borders Washington DC so that's kind of fun and also is where the CIA is located I couldn't tell you the city like it sounds like is it Richmond it's not Richmond that there is a big city in Virginia where the CIA is based for some reason because I think they try to spread out federal agencies and being near Washington is good but Virginia's kind of near Washington but also kind of not next up we've got Maryland over here what's the deal with Maryland it is honestly not paying so much actually I Baltimore is a big city that's like comes up in the wire I want to say i again i don't actually know too much about maryland I've been there before which I drove through by accident but still counts right I didn't drive I can't drive because I don't live in America it's not necessary which it is and even the states like Delaware so Delaware is the state level mix spun off in the United States and it's not very famous but it has a very weird circle border which is not very common thing in the world it's also where most US corporations headquarter because they have very low taxes but doing that sort of thing so yeah if you look in Wilmington there's like one building that has like a quarter million companies located there because people like to pay fewer taxes and the state system in America kind of allows States to compete what is Delaware gonna do it's the second smallest state it's got like the tiniest population so you know what they do instead they something-something taxes it works for them so next up after Delaware we're gonna move to the south a little bit because after you go bumper down below Virginia I would say North Carolina is even the Gateway to the south for its the South itself depending on who you ask so yeah that's North Carolina one of the other states which has a north-south prefix attached so North Carolina is kind of famous like business and there's a lot of IT based there and Charlotte is a big city I want to say like a big American Airlines area and that's North Carolina South Carolina's known for being a lot more trashy there's not really any big cities here like Charleston is growing as a tourist destination but yeah I also I think in within America a lot of people go to if again I hope I'm not mistaken on this but North Myrtle Beach is an area that a lot of people go to within the south of the United States but I think that's pretty one of those like dying trends and yeah South Carolina I can't name any reasons that make it so famous sadly if you live there sucks to be you get go work on your tourism campaign next up we've got Tennessee which has far too many letters like you know make up your mind Tennessee like te and n e SS you don't need that many double letters just be TN se tents Tennessee anyway so um Tennessee is a state which is I know like it's got a funny shape it's got like a down by the Tennessee Hills like it's got like a fun vibe to it I would say Nashville is known as the Music City which I don't quite understand on that level and yeah beyond that I know that Memphis Tennessee is not Memphis it's a it might be Memphis is where Jack Daniels is made and also I hear there's a very famous city in there that lots of people like to go to and that is that is tense Franklin maybe it's not Franklin it's what in in Tennessee there is definitely a big city which is famous for tourism within America again but I don't know what it is and Tennessee is mostly gonna be a Jack Daniels thing maybe a Music City thing maybe like Nashville hot sauce or something like that that is the Tennessee understanding next up we've got Arkansas or Arkansas a Arkansas that were being entirely honest Arkansas is where if I'm not mistaken Bill Clinton is from he ran as a Senate to there or something along those lines let's that's why it's kind of I you know could talk about Bill Clinton in a separate video talk about American politicians that can we keep on like let's rate all the presidents from the last how many years so um yeah Arkansas it's where it's from its southern it's also a Bentonville like one of the weirdest like it's it's a very it's a very alpha way place but Bentonville Arkansas is where Walmart has their headquarters if don't ask me why that's the case but that is what it Acadia Walmart regional distribution know that Bentonville Arkansas is where Walmart is based also what houses in Arkansas I could not tell you it's one of those states that's part the south and I can't take too much more than that Mississippi is a state which is always comes up is like one it's like the Mississippi River is one of those famous rivers in the United States you know some if you're in the South you're like selling something south of the Mississippi I don't know where doubt come up I think actually Hannah Montana four places oh I know another thing about Montana Hannah Montana is named after that state it seems like so yeah Mississippi is a state that is very very very very very depraved deprived depraved I think is offensive so deprived it is the state which receives the most from the federal government for every amount of money they put into it and it's always used as the example of like wow you know mrs. Mississippi takes something something something that yeah it's a southern state that hasn't really got much industry going for it and I don't it's not famous for tourism it's not famous for too much however yeah even though it's so low down compared to the rest of the US if you look at a poke after income map and they're still doing better than most European countries which goes to show the power of the United States you know it's safe or its weakest members maybe you could say that maybe you could not that's my word so put on that next up we've got Louisiana so Louisiana's famous for spicy stuff like Louisiana chicken or something like that get it fried chicken I know New Orleans is a famous city by itself - this is a very French US state and it has a different legal system to the rest of America I know it always comes up because I love looking at random maps that show with States and singles them now because of its whole French history also because of that Creole thing I want to say Cajun food it's from Louisiana again one of the places that's always been on my I need to go there list is New Orleans like one of the big cities of America and yeah I know that New Orleans is interesting because just across from New Orleans to get to Lewisburg there's this bridge just over a giant lake and it's a bridge that's just endless when you're in the middle life I show you right now let me show you it here's the middle of this you just you just can't know this as a boat but you can't see either side of the bridge it's just an endless bridge with separate lanes separated by you know it's carries my point it's very scary to me because there's just a deep link underneath it so yeah next up after Louisiana which is kind of famous by itself we've got Alabama so Alabama Alabama is famous because sweet home alabama' and you know honestly you know all jokes aside the great thing about Alabama is when you eventually do you know have to break up with a girl or even worse you get divorced you know that even off that divorce you're still family anyway so Alabama is famous for the song it's like famously the south of the United States I would say like if you're gonna make fun of the south but you want to make fun of the state you would use Alabama sorry if you're in Alabama also Martin Luther King was from there which makes sense given the whole South thing but it was also killed there so I mean you know Alabama that's your thing also Birmingham Alabama always comes up when like this used to be a Google problem I don't know why it would cause this problem but if I'd search directions to Birmingham Birmingham Alabama always come up and it's like no I don't want directions from London to Alabama right now I put in London and it's put London Kentucky which M it is because I had Birmingham Alabama but like still this is let's see the direct the distance from these things Wow London to Birmingham it's a lot further than I remember 347 miles or by car five hours drive I thought London was a lot closer to Birmingham but America proved me wrong once again next up we've got Georgia so the great state of Georgia is actually more populated than the sovereign nation Georgia I find that funny personally so yeah Georgia is a state that is named after King George just like the country on okay the country is named after the patron state and therefore King George has already named after the patron saint - long story short Georgia is more important than Georgia and yeah so Georgia has a little wit cities Athens etc Atlanta is the biggest city by far and answer is a very very famous city for a lot of reasons they want to me that matters I've mentioned airline things before is the Atlanta Airport is the busiest airport in the world if you count domestic passengers and therefore if you're going to be taking a flight from somewhere in the this area you're gonna connect via Atlanta there's like a lot of jokes and pop culture about like oh yeah you know if you want to go to hell you're gonna have to connect from Atlanta first cuz yeah it's a giant giant giant giant Airport it's also Delta's big and therefore if you fly Delta and you're flying to somewhere that's kind of regional you're gonna go via Atlanta Georgia next up we got Florida famous for Florida man or so it's the biggest holiday destination in the u.s. I would say for British people I went there when I was two so wait look at my map I went there when I was two but yeah I wouldn't know it's like two and four to go to Disneyworld because there is an entire like even though Orlando Tampa Miami are all pretty big cities so it's Jacksonville Orlando is pretty famous because it has a there's a whole city that is owned by Disney I can't even on the map right now I might might my brain is give me issues but there's a whole city which is just owned by Disney let's let's go to what Disney Resort because it's technically you know to to go there they go a lot of concessions there legally and out to operate like nuclear power themselves they have their own fire department they have their own police therefore they don't pay taxes therefore they exist right here just outside Orlando it's a very weird wacky thing and they've even managed to if I'm not mistaken the high-speed rail link that was going to come through Orlando because it wasn't going to their resort they managed to get the whole thing vetoed or moved I'm not sure if they cancelled it altogether all they moved it's go near them but Disney it has a lot of power over this part and also typica traction because as well as having Disney over here which is kind of fun by itself and I I find that interesting there's a giant SeaWorld right and you know fun fact there at universals there to Orlando is a place a lot of people like to go and Miami is kind of the same for beaches also Miami has a huge Cuban and like all of that area in fact all of South America is pretty well connected Miami because it's the closest city so yeah very Spanish city and yeah Florida's are number of states that gets a lot of people moving to it from the US like California as a state they gets a lot of immigrants but most of the immigrants are u.s. immigrants from other states and it's the same with Florida but these are yet mostly young immigrants these are mostly older immigrants it's where you go to retire because it's a place with nice weather except the occasional hurricane but people don't seem to mind about that apparently next up we've got Oklahoma Oklahoma is one of the it's like for that for how far east Oklahoma is it is a pretty new state because most states were made east to west Oklahoma's like state number 46 fact-check that one so yeah Oklahoma is the 46th state and also it's famous for Oklahoma City the reservations and Tulsa comes up in a friend's episode once it's a big Oil City there's other Big Oil cities in America but Tulsa is one of them next up Texas you know I don't think I've heard anything about Texas you're saying how you set Tex ass T cheeks eyes yeah that's gotta be how it is so Texas is this very small state you've probably never heard of it there are some small cities such as Dallas Houston San and you know like those big cities Austin that's pretty famous too houston we have a problem Houston is the bigger the fourth biggest city in the United States very very very very very big city I find it a very interesting place at least and then also we've got Dallas which is the it's again Dallas Fort Worth together makes a giant metropolitan area Dallas Fort Worth Airport is a very big Airport and just in general Texas has a huge amount of stuff going on it's actually the fastest growing state because again their business environment just is they're growing very fast and therefore yeah that's a thing they're actually because Texas is growing so fast and they're growing in cities which is hell well growth works in nice name set of places Texas is very widely known as like yeehaw I'm we're on the south we're a southern state and we'd speak like this because this is my terrible attempt in an American accent but yeah this is that's what Texas is famous for but it's kind of a bit different to that one in the reality is like I've met some people from Texas a fair number actually and most people who live in the actual urban areas aren't necessarily like that like there's a lot of that as a you know there's a lot of stereotype of that but I'll still like anywhere Texas has a broad mixed people honestly Texas is just a very freedom oriented place but they still have a lot of the normal non freedom things that you would associate with a place so that you might like about place and also the averaging thing is even though it's famous as a red state because if you like freedom generally you've like again not that the perception is that there's the it's like freedom and equality right like if you like equality more you vote blue if you like freedom more you vote right and there's you can argue that to get to freedom you need equality and to get to a quality you need freedom there's a whole weird debate like that there's a lot more words that you could describe this with but there is this whole thing where like Texas seems very red and if you look at elections it's been very red for a very long time actually however that's not necessarily true it's not just a hard red state although kind of is right now because it's growing so fast and that growth is in cities Texas is about to become purple and then eventually ten years from now you know twenty years from now it could even be a solid blue stronghold because Houston is such a big city Austin is such a big city San Antonio such big cities Dallas Fort Worth etc there are big cities grown all over Texas because Texas is a very successful state that's doing a lot of things great also there's no state income tax so I'll go move to Texas I might do that one day just for the no state income tax other American federal tax are still kind of high but anyway so with that said random flies are Imperium from my head which means I'm about to die or I am dying right now but to avoid death let's talk about Alaska so Alaska very if the biggest American state as you might be able to tell it's distorted a bit by the makita projection but even if we undo that even if we go okay let's show you our globe it's big right it's pretty darn big there's a reason you say lower-48 alaska distorts more normal stuff Anchorage is pretty famous it had the last blockbuster in America - it's not famous for that but that's a fun thing also it comes up and malcolm in the middle' if I'm not mistaken the you know Francis moves to Anchorage Alaska and yeah Laska is a very very very weird place that happens to be connected to the rest of the US and in Hawaii is a less weird place this was state number 49 maybe state number 50 and yeah basically Hawaii is very interesting because of this state flag yeah that's right you know what I love in a state flag I love seeing my own flag on there so yeah that is Hawaii you know the flag that's oh he needs no no Hawaii is of course the vacation destination for the rest of America it kind of is famous for that its problem actually to go to wife from Europe because if you look Hawaiian the nearest point in California which means if you want to go to even the east coast of America it's like wow that's a very long like 10-hour flight or something and if you want to go from all the way in London let's say because let's say you live in London because you're British and you just had fish and chips then you would see that like oh god that is a really long flight and there's no direct flights so you realistic we have to go by like usually LA or California like that and therefore like oh god that means that to get between these places you have to go 13,000 kilometers and who wants to do that I don't want to do that and therefore Hawaii is very hard to get to as a European however its famous in America as being the getaway place like I would say you know I've mostly blogged about places than a famous to that because that's what you see in TV the aspirational stuff Hawai is the kind of like beach resort getaway aspiration and then thus Vegas is there like have a crazy party with your adult friends although when I went to Las Vegas people brought their kids why would you do that who brings their children and their dog to Las Vegas you idiots sorry rant aside I believe we went through every single state in the United States if I miss the state it means it was so insignificant but even me someone who cares more on average about the United States states didn't mention it and therefore your state sucks let's just be honest of you on that one but that is a British person's opinion of the British per foot my cultural understanding of every single state obviously states are different in real life the world is a complex place and there are a billion things that are interesting to you about your own state or about your neighboring states but the point of this video was not to tell you objective facts it was to tell you what is known about that from the outside and let me know did you learn anything about your own States your own country from this video if you live in the US or if you don't live in the u.s. did you learn about anyway if you don't live in the US it'd be weird to watch this video let me know if you watched it and if you learned a thing or why you watched it I can't work out why you would actually I guess I'm just trying to appeal to Americans I've mentioned this before you make a lot of money more money from Americans I think it's like the CPMs are higher in America because that's where all the money is most large to come in all that care you naturally I can't as you can see if we look at like a video that's done well in America so let's let's take three countries that might be independent and you go like oh yeah where's the money from this one come in and you're like okay revenue one hundred eighty dollars and one hundred and six thousand views but if you then look at the the audience actually reached you notice how only 25 percent u.s. however if we look up a video I'm gonna guess a video about the US is probably gonna do better so trying to name the hundreds biggest cities in America got me I gotta see the audience on this one as you can see only 21 percent actually and as she proves the point that less Americans less money 39,000 views only 55 dollars so yeah now you know the business strategy behind this video really I just want to appeal to you guys in this country and therefore I named all your stuff for 58 minutes but I think I deserve to have that appeal or maybe you done anyway thank you for watching and I'll see you all next time goodbye wait second channel do care see I've changed so much I've changed so much

What is an electronic and digital signature?

To understand the difference between a signature stamp and electronic signature, let’s consider what electronic signatures and signature stamps are. An electronic signature is a digital analogy to a handwritten signature, while a signature stamp is created using a method called hashing to formulate a unique private and public key. Both are legally binding. However, electronic signatures are much more convenient from an ease-of-use point of view because signature stamps require several keys and a digital certification for each signature (e-stamp) applied.
