hi everyone welcome back to my channel today we're going to be going over how to create a currency field in salesforce so let's go ahead and get started we are in the setup which is where you want to start if you're not in the setup and you are just in your regular salesforce you're going to want to click this gear icon and go to setup from here we're going to go to object manager and then you're going to want to pick the object right now we're going to go to account and just created on the account from there we'll go to fields and relationships to new and here we're going to choose from our custom fields where it's going to be so we're going to click currency and either scroll up or scroll down click next field labels this what we're going to have it be you can choose what it is um let's have this be the cost so how much does this account cost us on our end so it can be up to 18 uh digits but because it's currency i'm going to do 16 and 2. you can add description help text and require it i'm not going to do that but we'll click next all right and who do you want this to be visible this is the field level security so it'll be visible if you check that box to all these different profiles that are in our org if you want it to be read-only you click on that next one i'm going to scroll up and click next and then this will automatically add it to the page layout you'll have to go back in later and move it around to wherever you want it but it'll automatically be on that page layout when you go to it i'm going to click save and there you go we have cost as a currency field in salesforce be sure to like and subscribe it really helps out my channel and helps me create more helpful videos like this and i'll catch you guys in the next one
