hello today we're going to show you how to go into encompass and retrieve items you had previously requested from your borrowers once you go into your loan file go to a folder and click on the retrieve tab you'll see here all the items that the borrower has uploaded hit the download button this takes a few seconds and the items requested are going to fall into the documents list you always want to review the items so let's go to the bars driver's license that looks good let's go to the pay stubs and it looks like I have a couple of pay stubs here and a w-2 that shouldn't go there so let's drag this out of here and move it over to unassigned I'll leave the pay stubs right where they are I'm gonna grab the w-2 and I'm gonna drag that over to unassigned I'm gonna call this w to hit add and that's gonna add it to the unassigned area and it's also going to delete it from the pay stub section next are my w-2s well that's actually the letter of explanation so let's drag that over I'm going to call this letter of explanation I'm going to hit add so I can move it to the unassigned area and you'll see here that it's gonna delete it from the current placeholder which is okay it's not deleting the item it's just moving it over to unassigned and deleting the placeholder next let's check our tax returns those look good so now the next thing is to drag my documents that are in unassigned into the correct place holder so I'm gonna sort here in reverse alphabetical order and I'm gonna move my w2 into this place holder and next I'm gonna look for a place holder holder for letter of explanation I don't seem to have one so I'm gonna go to add new document this is going to add a placeholder for me hit OK now I'm gonna look for a letter of explanation I'm gonna select hit close and now I have my placeholder I can drag my letter of explanation into the placeholder and that's it I'm all done go ahead and hit close hit save and your borrowers items have been retrieved go ahead and you can close out of the file and that's how you do it that's how you retrieve requested items from the borrower to encompass
