procorp recommends managing inspection templates at the company level this way a company has a means of ensuring that every project is using the same standardized templates throughout the project as they create and perform inspections at the project level to create a new inspection template you'll need admin level permissions on the company level inspections tool it's important to note that you might not have access to the company level inspections tool depending on your role in your company if you do not have access to this tool you'll need to coordinate with your company's procorp administrator to make sure you are using the correct inspections templates for your company at the project level I'm going to assume that you have permissions to the company level inspections tool and I will show you how to create an inspection template the first thing you're going to want to do is set up your project inspection types so let's go to the configure page on this page you'll want to enter each type of inspection that you're going to have on the project as you can see I've already configured a few inspection types on your own project though you'll want to set up your own inspection types that match your projects needs once you do that you'll want to click back to the inspections list page where you can begin creating your company's inspection templates the inspections tool at the company level of every account includes an industry lead site safety audit inspection template that you can use as a starting point for customizing your project's own site safety template you can also use this however you want you can edit it change the name and add description add your own attachments and items or you can even delete this all together if you have your own safety inspection that better aligns with your company's needs to get started you'll need to create a new inspection template once you're in the create page give this inspection a name that best describes the scope of work being inspected next designate the inspection type and trade let's mark this inspection type as material and the trade as general if you do not see the trade you want you'll have to talk to your company's pro core administrators so that they can fill in the trades at the company level admin tab attach any relevant company specific information for example for a general delivery inspection you may want to include special checklists for the international deliveries finally you'll build out the specific sections and items for the inspection now I'm going to add my first section I'll start with vendor details when I'm done I'll click tab on my keyboard to create another section enter to create an item under the section or escape to save I'm going to click enter to create an item under the section let's add that now next I'll click tab to create a section I'll add a few more items as you can see pro core automatically adds section numbers you can delete any section or item by clicking the red X to the right of each section you can reorder individual items within a section or you can reorder whole sections of your template one thing to keep in mind is that when you reorder items and sections the numbering automatically updates to reflect the new order now I'm going to repeat these steps and build out the rest of the inspection template now that this looks good to me I'm going to click create and that's it I've built out an inspection template at the company level next as an admin user I will add it to our project it's important to remember that the template will have to be added at the project level before the actual inspection can be created so even if you don't have access to build out the inspection templates at the company level you will probably have access to put those inspection templates on the project that you're working on thanks for watching
