challenge ourselves not to be too concerned and limited by the current resources in our setup this is the most generative phase because all ideas are welcome for happy they made this process more nuanced by inviting first-year students from the ut college of education to take part in the process because of their field of study and their previous experience of learning drr concepts as high school students the ideas from this part of the process are then converted into physical products in the prototype phase ideas are developed into tactile objects or experiences so people can see how this potentially can exist in space everyone who participated in the brainstorm session is invited to develop low fidelity prototypes for their best ideas ask people to engage with these and then gather feedback if you will notice majority of the decision making in the human center design process is human centered it's collaborative it's democratized everyone is encouraged to say their peace what works what doesn't especially by carrying the perspectives that they do the intervention in the process will only succeed if it opens itself to feedback earlier on in the process the prototype that resonates most with the stakeholders are continuously developed tested and iterated for habi this entailed going beyond the teachers and the up students they had initially engaged with they same goal which is to reinforce concepts in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation the strength of this process as seen through our case study is on how design and designers drove the with empathy we are able to truly understand the barriers and motivations of those who are most affected in this manner we see that not because some people have less does it mean that they don't know more maybe they are also just waiting for that creative prompt to help them re-imagine how things can change for them this shift in the more traditional top-down approach in addressing social concerns is much more needed today especially at a time where dissent is discouraged and even feared as you reimagine the new normal we are called to democratize spaces where decisions are made about the
