hey there youtube it's dan strong with excel vba is fun today i want to show you um with a quick question from plain hank playing at a question he said i am dynamically creating new check boxes every time i create a new worksheet with my code and what he's doing is this is pretty cool he will actually create a new check box exactly 25 pixels or whatever away and so they're evenly spaced on the sheet what he want to know his first problem is as they're added on here he can't seem to get it to change the caption which normally if you want to do it manually you click on the developer tab and go to design mode and of course you can manually change the caption right click go to properties if you want and type over the caption to say whatever you want so and that would change the caption take it off at design mode and you all you can do is click on it now of course we know that the code to do that if we wanted to hide let's say this new sheet 3 double click on how this howdy duty which is still technically named check box 2 that's its name and if you wanted to set that you'd say if me dot check box 2 is true then and then whatever sheet you wanted this workbook dot sheets and you say new sheet three dot visible is false so if it's checked then it's hidden right so the visibility is false and then you say else and then the other scenario is that the visible is true so copy and paste here and you say end if so that being said take it out of design mode so there it's invisible when i uncheck it it is now visible so that's easy and easier said than done to automate that what we're going to do right now in this lesson we're basically going to show him uh how to rename the caption dynamically he let's take a look at his code to all right here is his code his work it's called add sheet so let's go through here hit f8 hub is sheet three okay location is five all right so his first counter is one all the way to whatever however many number of shapes there are so the counter is number one so if uh hub.ole the worksheet name has been declared as hub so hub dot ole objects and he's got the text checks but check box and one so if the object called check box one dot top is greater than location which is five so if it's greater than five pixels down or something like this then we're going to grab the location because it's going to end on whatever is the last one so hit f8 okay the location for the first one for check box one the dot top...
