someone asked how do I rename a gmail folder label and they're actually not necessarily folders in Gmail their clothes labels but it could be called a folder as well but we have these labels over here on the right side for one of the projects that we work on we folder here are the way you actually change those label names so that you can get them to be something you want after you've named those labels in Gmail is to go in here click the gear icon and go ahead and click the Settings and do lots of different things here but what you want to do is click on the labels tab very simply we have the option to turn off turn on whatever we want to do here but you can actually just rename it so let's say we wanted to allow personalized sites to be something else and we're just going to type back in allow personalized site for example if we wanted to change it to that I think you just click anywhere else and it's been renamed basically that's all you do to change the folder names or change the labels to be what you want them to be now one really cool feature is this show we have unread and if you check that but then it means that the label will show up only if there's an unread email in the label otherwise it won't show up at all and it just helps to keep Gmail nice and clean hopefully this has been helpful for you you can subscribe to the YouTube channel right here on the page and you can also visit me online at strive for impacts com my name is Jonathan Kraft and I strive to have a positive meaningful impact on every life I encounter including yours because you've just watched this video thank you very much and come visit me I'll mine ask any question I'll be happy to help in any way I can thank you
